Would you sell Nasri for an English Lallana?

It's a tough question to answer?
No and what does him being english have to do with it ? Judge a player on talent and not nationality

Im just trying to say that they are both as good as each other and I personally would prefer more English players in our team. Coupled with the quota. That's all. If we get the chance to buy someone of Lallanas quality I think we should seriously be interested

I thought they were one of the better teams to come to our place, but they seemed to lack any bite up front

Pretty football with no end product.

Yeah at about 10 minutes to go two of theirs passed it to each other about 6 times without moving an inch forward, it was odd.

There's a lot to admire though about the way they play.

Lallana isn't as good as Nasri.

Nowhere near Nasri imo.

Will he end up at the swamp next season?, just always had the feeling he would.

They say the table doesn't lie but I honestly believe Southampton should be about 10 points better off. Fantastic footballing side but their Achilles heel seems to be that they often fade in the second half of matches.

I fear the ownership issue might see their team getting broken up which would be a real shame.

I thought they were excellent today in the first half. They comprehensively outplayed us in midfield, but lacked a bit of cutting edge. For all their domination they didn't really test Hart. Very good team though; arguably one of the best English teams we've seen at the Etihad this season. I always thought it would be tough today, so it was a relief to get the three points.

Southampton play some nice football, but I think the media and fans in general tend to overrate them for two main reason:
1. They have a lot of English players
2. They play nice football.

Ultimately they don't really create enough, are not clinical enough and concede too many chances to be challenging for Europe yet.

Lallana is the only one of their players ready to step up to the next level. Shaw has potential, but he is not as talented as Cole was for me. Being a young talented English player he is worth fighting for, but I am not convinced he will ever be as good as Cole or Lahm, though that's no disgrace.

Real shame about Rodriguez, hopefully it's not as bad as feared, would be terrible for him to miss a chance to go to the world cup.

Thought they were unlucky today both with the offside & the injury to Rodriguez - they were definitely causing City a few issues and had they got a better finisher than Lambert it might have been another story.

Hope they keep hold of their talent for another season or two, it's always disappointing seeing a smaller team getting ripped apart like the West Ham team that had Lampard, Cole, Ferdinand etc
