Talkshite have just said it's his 1st managerial position. Mad decision on the face of it given Adkins seemed to be turning a corner - 2 defeats in 12 games.

Feel for Adkins.
 
Proof that football is completely crazy.

He's dragged them out of the bottom three with the last result a point at Stamford Bridge and he's potted.
 
Adkins is being sacked is this a joke? Done an amazing job for them.

On another issue pity we never signed that Luke Shaw we were linked with him quite heavily last season.

Then they're talking shite (surprise!)

He did quite well with Espanyol.
 
Balague on SSN backing up the decision.

Think he supports Espanyol and though they were bottom of La Liga when MP was sacked Balague certainly rates him highly.
 
Luke Shaw was magnificent for them against us in both meetings. Amazing to think he's only 17. I think he's got a bright future.
