I am not shocked as there were talk of Adkins being sacked during the season. Mauricio Pochettino was a bit of a suprise replacement though. As a few have said, they are certainties for the drop.
Mind boggles. They suddenly go on a decent run of results and the manager gets sacked. Maybe, anything other than a win at Chelsea was unacceptable to the owner.
It's not exactly a disaster for Adkins to be fair, it's one of those sackings that probably even enhances his reputation. Everyone goes on about what a great job he did and how the sacking is ridiculous etc.
Any club outside maybe the top 6 or 7 will be looking at him if they need a new manager.
Besides his daft "no contact but not a dive" comments last week the only thing you could hold against him was his inexperience (but how are you meant to get experience when you get binned off?) for example he lost them points with shit decisions in certain games (United springs to mind!)
