There are several big clubs that regressed in a major way last season, including Real Madrid (no defense) and Man United (scoring goals). Have these 10 clubs done enough to fix those issues in the offseason?

Not much options on the market. Although we would also love to sign a right-back, they are either not good enough to play for Manchester City or are unavailable/too expensive.

There's a way we can get around this, BUT we have to shift many of the old guard who say they're staying.

Yes... Barça also considered Vanderson as a right-back target, but they gave up on him because he "didn't fit their needs." Now Milan are very interested in him.
It reminds me of Wesley — he looked great, but City felt he couldn't adapt to the first team, so he went to Roma. Maybe City and Barça share the same view.

Opinion: Reading between the lines, it seems Baldy is at odds with many of his squad. If the ageing old guard won't leave, then they should be given reduced game time, as we transition to the new younger recruits.
