Keep - Ake, Ortega, Dias, Gvardiol, Bobb ,Savio, Rodri, Doku, Haaland, Foden, O'reilly, Mcatee.
New- Kusanov, Reis, Marmoush

Need-Left back, Right back, centre half , 2 x defensive midfielders, 1 x attacking midfielder

Don't think this is going to be a quick process peeps.

Spot on with one small adjustment in that a CM no8 rather than 2 DMs for me. To replace the outgoing players we’re looking at a very expensive rebuild for the likes of Barella, Musiala, Wirtz, Ederson, in the midfield

Think I'd keep Kdb and Gundo for there mentality character around the team for another season! You let so many winners go bring in players who have won bought we will be in worse situation ! We should have brought in at least two world class players in the summer!

I think we’ll have to make a clean break and not allow for any sentiment. Gundogan may fancy a coaching role, but de Bruyne looks increasingly powerless against better teams and his lack of mobility is not going to improve. Because we stood still for so many windows, however, the size of the rebuild will make it harder to buy world-class players, so we may buy younger players with promise.

Bang on. If we don't sign at least one of those midfielders this window then we won't finish in any European place let alone the top 4/5.

Young players with promise won't win you trophies if you get rid of all the winning mentality in the squad! Kdb has it Rodri has it Dias and Haaland has it that inner fight mentality

That’s for this summer. I think Bernardo is finished and have said in other threads it’s time for him to leave. But letting to many players go at the same time may not to be to good for the new lads coming in. Kev is still world class on the ball but I can’t see him wanting to take a pay cut when the Saudis and Yanks throw money at him. Kovacic to leave in 2026, I think he will be ok for another year while we bed a new midfielder in.

In - GK, RB/LB, 2x CM, 1x AM

I think we’re ok in the wings. Bobb coming back to full fitness will be like a new signing. Perhaps Pep may try him in KDB spot? I can see Marmoush playing that role too, so if we can’t sign either Wirtz or Musiala, save the cash for the next best thing. We can’t afford to be wasting money while in a rebuild, the players have to be right.

That’s my concern. If we get rid of say De Bruyne, Bernardo, grealish, Stones, Ederson and Gundogan. We’d be losing all of our experience, proven winners and a few world class players. We’d then be replacing them with unproven youngsters.
 
Don’t think we need to rebuild the entire squad. What we need to rebuild is the entire midfield and get competent fullbacks.

You’ll see a difference then. Get the GK situation sorted.

LW could be a position that needs addressing.

You can have all the inner fight you need, but if your legs won’t get you around the pitch and close enough to the opponent, it’s not going to help. It’s also a concern that of the 4 mentioned, there are already question marks over the fitness of 3, and heaven knows what effect this season’s workload will have on Haaland down the line.

Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Paris Saint-Germain are now all playing with pace and power, using the length of the pitch, and that increasingly exposes our weaknesses. We are a team in transition and to compete at the earliest some painful contract decisions are going to have to be made.

I honestly think 2 CM and 1 RB would already be enough including a potential GK if BOTH of our Goalkeepers leave. We might have to give Brighton or Newcastle some money I guess. Strongly believe our offense is stacked enough now don’t need another LW.

None of De Bruyne, Bernardo, Grealish, Stones, Ederson and Gundogan are World Class anymore unfortunately

This season sure, but I’m not going to write off six proven winners. De Bruyne coming back from injury has been really good.

We can’t rely on unproven youngsters

I think the fullback position is fine, we can just throw the new defenders there, I'd prefer maybe 1 more like Dingo for good measure.

The attack has a superstar coming in and has a lot of young talent and looks good, no need to bolster.

Its the centre midfield we mainly need now, I'd say 2 elite players or 1 elite and 2 young prospects should do. Its my main concern.

How did the management give Pep one of the oldest , least technical centre midfield in Europe? Holy shit.
