I don't get why people keep coming back to him.
Unless there's been a dramatic improvement from his time at the Breezeblock playing for Bolton, it's a hard pass for me.

Think he's unlikely to want to be a number 2 for us, and might be why he left (just a thought).
It's tough for GKs in all honesty.
Don't think he's the elite level we need these days, but won't want to sit on the bench.

That English keeper would surely be brought in to replace Carson's homegrown spot—not Stones' or Aké's—wouldn't it?

Yes there has been a huge improvement, the lad is setting records for clean sheets and saves. However, he's not coming back to City to be second choice.

There aren’t any homegrown keepers Pep would want as a number 2 that I can think of though.

It’s more important to have a solid back up keeper than just being homegrown in my opinion. Ortega has shown how important it is to have a player push the 1 but also be there if needed. 3rd spot yeah sure.

If it was up to me I wouldn’t be signing half of those new signings. And to be fair I forgot about Nico. But Pep doesn’t seem to fancy Phil central never mind in a deeper role.

Don't think there's any world where we should play Frimpong as a normal RB, particularly if the opposite wing is also an attacking fullback.

Nico Williams is a left Wing. So we would buy LW to play on RW? Cambiasso is something I will never understand but who knows what Pep is planning
