The Squad planning thread

What are you talking about ? Idk about you but Dias hasn’t been in great form for a long while now. Over 18 months. Akanji is a squad player. He shouldn’t be starting every game. Gvardiol is great at CB but you realise he’s completed 44 90 min games. That’s insane and we’re lucky he’s not injured. But who’s to say he doesn’t get injured ? You need to manage these players so you don’t end up with another Rodri situation
So you put an 18 year old kid who has been here from a different continent for a couple of weeks in place of any of those three? What a prick you are!!!!

Viana needs to show a big bollocks window this Summer. We were playing catch up anyway but now even more so with a rival strengthening so well.

Key areas need topping up. And quick. And not with prospects. With fantastic, established players. Reijnders is a good start.

the 18 year old is 5th choice you acting like it’s the end of the world ?? If he’s shit then you sell him if he’s actually good then he competes for a spot. If Reis Or Bah perform well in their loans then surely one of them will bang. What’s the outrage. This is a rebuild. We are planning for the future

I wonder who those ready made players are that pep is talking about considering you have to be able to play 3 positions while never losing the ball.

Time to promte from the youth seriously

Spike Brits as 2nd choice keeper (just for the name)
Thomas Galvez as 2nd choice left back (because we have none)

I think we’re in a bit of a mess and the signings in January have already added to the problems.

Buying a number of players, who Pep thinks are clearly not ready, are taking places in a squad already considered too big by the manager.

The upshot we will probably lose players in the summer for a pittance of their value, move on homegrown/academy players (McAtee) not based on footballing reasons but due to having too many other players filling up squad places and starting next season with shortages in some positions and excesses in others.

Obviously not that bad but if its not about the money (which Wirtz isnt) , cant be about facilities as ours is defo better than the dippers, is it the charges? playing style? manager?
Could be any of those things or maybe he ends up at Bayern as he might prefer to stay in Germany.

who cares. he picked whoever, nothing you can change about it. Any or every reason given wont change it.

Peps early managerial experience he moulded young players not ready into 1st team starters amd took barcas b team up the league.

His biggest achievement now would be to turn a flelding young squad into title winners, otherwise the he only goes to big clubs and buys a team ready made will become an epitaph.

He needs to rekindle some of that fire of his early coaching days, the January signing all look good enough but raw, Pep has the ability to turn them into world beaters if he wanted too.

Bring in rejinders and then the only postions we need ready made replacements is Gk, RB and LB, the kids are alright for the rest
