Not really we can buy a homegrown full back, Stones might not go but we don't have to replace him if we don't want. McAtee doesn't make any difference to anything.

Might just load up on HG keepers for the 2 and 3 slots perhaps, its difficult because we need starters this summer not squad players, so signing one for squad depth isnt really an option. we have too much to do.

Its more if we replace outgoing HG players with non-HG players, we get closer and closer to the max of 17 and then have no wiggle room going forward, say into next season or whatever. I think a couple of our younger players age out into the main list next year too. To make it work we need to sell 2-3 foreign players or make one of our signings HG i think.

We have no wiggle room now, the only way to sign non homegrown players is to sell some non homegrown players. Whether we go with 3 or 4 on the homegrown list makes litte difference, no point signing a 4 th HG just for the sake of filling a place.

I know everyone loves to say how shit defensively Frimpong is but signing him would've deffo helped from a HG perspective especially with Livramento looking like a really difficult deal

Ait-Nouri and Marmoush will be lost for the AFCON. Luckily their positions are areas we’re stacked in but I assume Livramento’s ability to play both sides will be another part of why we want him.

If we could get Livramento and MGW (and even a HG 2nd/3rd keeper) then along with Foden, Bobb, O Reilly and Lewis that'd save a lot of homegrown headache for the future in Viana's first window.

There's always going to be more suitable non homegrown players out there than homegrown so it'd be decent business to load up on them as early as possible.

Especially if it looks like none of the current EDS team might make the jump, sadly, based on what happened to Palmer, Delap, THB (who I'd happily bring back) and McAtee.
