The Squad planning thread

Any idea why neither us or Liverpool tried for Cunha ? It seems it kinda odd that United had a free run at him for some reason, maybe I'm missing something here ?
Id look at the success of City and scousers both in terms of trophies and transfers and then look at the rags. Then ask who is a better judge of character and ability.

He will no doubt score 5 in 5 and the rags will be back before he's on loan to Juventus in January after not showing up to training and being sent off against Burnley in the league.

Eddie stefan

Rico livermento
Reis Khusanov Dias Akanji Gvardiol
Ait Nouri OReilly

Rodri nico kovacic
Foden reijnders Savinho Echev Doku Bobb Cherki

Haaland Marmoush

What y’all reckon to that. 23 enough?
You might no agree, but I think that squad looks a lot weaker than what we’ve had previously. It’s lacking proven winners and goals in the midfield for me.

Savinho and Doku don’t score or assist much and Bobb and Echev - two unproven youngsters. Lots of potential though

Similar for centre backs, if Dias or akanji get injured we’d be relying on two unproven youngsters

yeah, we've over but not by anyone who will be here really. Bah, Reis and Echeverri will all be loaned out imo.

Nothing major, we just have incoming before outgoing but the reg. deadline date is months away.
Lens are asking about taking Bah for another season. He seemed start every possible game after an initial settling in period. I think that would be a good move for him. It worked out well for Saliba to have a few years over there.

Saliba was a world class player, that we should have signed, he refused to move to England, it took 2 years to convince him, and as soon as he did Real came sniffing. I do like the French leagues ability to give opportunity, and see it as a place City should move all it`s British over 18` for 2 years, not a one size fits all, but learning different cultures, styles, tactics, while getting proper game time, grow as a player grow as a person. Which is why i would bring Bah back

i think 2 fb's, midfielder and attacking midfielder will be added

rest of intakes will depend on outgoings
Very worried about central defence as we are still carry 4 players in Dias arkanji stones and ake with major injury worry’s .

Dias and Gvardiol will be main partnership, at least it should be

i think Stones will be sold, he needs regular game time to get place in WC squad

Reis most likely will be loaned out

Tbh I’m worried about Dias as last ssason I thought his form dropped off a cliff but hopefully gvadiol can pull him together .

i think our new midfield will help a lot + return of Rodri will help settle things

We could get a top RB no problem I think its just thats the position we want homegrown. Only 2 options there. Livramento(unlikley) or Hinshelwood(no links)

There should be plenty of cash available though if we aren’t doing MGW? Obviously Newcastle maybe saying a price we just won’t do but if we have to do say £70-80m for our top target then the cash is there?
