You saying we don’t need homegrown or players I don’t know which assuming Livramento Wharton or Eze join yet two of them look like not joining and not even interested in and one looks hard to get done

Guehi does make a lot of sense next season on a free if he stays at Palace until then if we move on stones, ake and akanji.

I've no idea, and, as I said, I wasn't really advocating their specific purchase, simply using their names as examples of the type of players that might be options until the academy produces more. Once we have players in their 30s, with injury concerns and an inability to feature week in, week out, then I don't really see a great deal of difference in having a couple of such players instead.

Only two are currently at the club, plus Dias will be in his 30s in two years. Again, Guéhi also ticks the HG box & could come possibly for free.

We just cannot allow our succession planning to lapse again. Real target the players they want on a free, 2-3 seasons before they're available. This is what we need to be doing, in preparation for our older stars needing to be replaced.

So Dias probaby has another 4 or 5 years, Gvardiol more than that. Not sure we need to worry about that. I don't know what the club thinks about Reis, Khusonov or Bah but if they think they will be good enough to back up Dias and GVardiol from next season then that's all we really need.If they have doubts then yes next summer bring another player in.
 
The Dias contract talks will be interesting, as he may want to move if he doesn't get a sizeable increase, but more than anything else, I just want him to return to his previous high standards. Last season he just wasn't setting the tone well enough and seemed a yard short in the mind, as much as in his legs

Nunes and Kovacic will stay, it will be hard to ship them, although i would like to sell Kovacic

Bernardo is the new captain, he will not be sold if anything extraordinary happen
Ake is HG, which we need

Why NicoG is not playing is baffling

Marmoush, Dias will not be sold

Savinho maybe should be loaned

So not much is going to change from last season...
 
Think O'Reilly will be allowed to leave; probably on loan.
The signing of Ait Nouri means he's unlikely to play LB and he's gonna struggle for game time in midfield.

Hopefully Viana makes his decisions on who to keep first and foremost based on if he thinks they are good enough, not based on how hard it would be to "ship them" or financial reasons.

First decide who to keep around based on performance/ability and make the decision on who to cut based on the same parameters. How much of a financial hit/loss it will be to the club to get rid of the players not making the cut should be irrelevant when making the cut. Sporting decisions should be prioritized over financial ones. Getting back to winning is more important than making a big profit, especially after a season like the one we just had.

So just sell half the squad. Never going to happen and we’d need a least a few seasons for all the new players to get used to the league and our style of play

That would be pretty disappointing if we did that. Great last season and a top prospect. We should be doing everything to keep him

But let’s keep players who consistently don’t perform. I hope this doesn’t happen.
 
Ederson is the main issue coming up, 12 months left on his deal , no new contract has been brought up will his head be in it for a title charge next season.

Add Stones and Ake on that list need to go.Both together doesn't have 30 games played.
They are injury prone players that doesn't help the team at all.
