That is a vicious, brutal run of fixtures. We definitely need to dip into the transfer market and fast-track whatever summer targets we had, bringing them in earlier if possible. It would give us much-needed squad depth and effectively serve as an extended pre-season, especially with the World Cup likely to disrupt preparations. Hopefully, those early additions can make an immediate impact and help us push for one or two trophies — ideally the Champions League and the Premier League. This is why we need to invest in the squad in January:
Man City's start to 2026 will be non-stop![]()

January 7 - Brighton (H) - Premier League
January 10 - Exeter City (H) - FA Cup third round
W/C January 12 - Newcastle United (A) - Carabao Cup semi-final first leg
January 17 - Manchester United (A) - Premier League
January 20 - Bodo/Glimt (A) - Champions League
January 24 - Wolves (H) - Premier League
January 28 - Galatasaray (H) - Champions League
February 1 - Tottenham (A) - Premier League
W/C February 2 - Newcastle United (H) - Carabao Cup semi-final second leg

I am really looking forward to Anderson. Yeah, all 3 would be nice, if we can pull it off, we will dominate!Agreed mate, Semenyo, Guehi at least, Anderson would be nice and give us a real push at all the major trophies!

Those three and a younger right back for start of next season will be good apart from Semenyo who we need nowAgreed mate, Semenyo, Guehi at least, Anderson would be nice and give us a real push at all the major trophies!

How many players can we buy, assuming no one leaves our current squad. This is why we need to invest in the squad in January:
Tough run indeed but what's the earliest we get someone like Semenyo? (Which I don't think will happen). This is why we need to invest in the squad in January:
