If Savinho go i expect we replace with a new signing instead of going internally, its hard for attackers to break through

i think we may promote Mukasa and McAidoo in that position

Nunes does have an engine. Has improved defensively as RB so assume the same would happen if he moved back to midfield.

We are wide open still in midfielder with Rodri either not fully fit not as good as before his injury or both.

Fits Trent in the starting 11 or whoever else it might be.

Then adds a player to midfield when Bernardo and Kovacic leave.

Got no problem with your view, but we built in a failure button , it got triggered when our first Choice CB got injured, and our back up got old and our 3rd choice went out on loan. Now it may well be that the two buys were done for non football reasons, certainly we sent a message to the financial side of football, we sent a message to our rivals, and we sent a message to every football player. But we are going to play against 10 man defenses, for the rest of the season, because it works, we need a big striker to break the 10 man defenses, and Dadason for me is that man/boy, we need to balance our defense as Akanji was our biggest defender as well as being reliable, Solet on loan can do that job, we can also see if he is good enough for us.

But injuries hit our CB again because of playing both of them all the time, Khusanov and Ake could have been used more in rotation with Dias and Gvardiol, The squad needs a rethink and get the deadwood out first and then sort out the keepers and keep 2 of them

Every season at this time of year, teams will fight tooth and nail for points because there is a light at the end of the tunnel they can now see, the top teams will be fighting for European places and the rest fighting to stay up.
Teams will defend with 10 men and hope to hit you on the break ? This was Walkers job to cover the whole back line with his recovery pace,

1000% we need a right fullback with that pace and then we have the power to play a high line, most of the goals we concede are from teams on the break

Less likely to make a big mistake but no I would say he isn’t as Trent gets forward more but a reformer improved Nunes might offer more defensively than other options in midfield

I just cannot see us going for Smit. The squad is already young, and recent activity shows that we’re returning to prioritising proven over potential.

Probably helps pay for those we've brought in this window, no more. Listening to Lijnders today, we've clearly prioritised players who will improve the first-team. Would Kayode oust Nunes and improve on him? Not convinced.
