Don't know why we're always so keen to get rid of Marmoush.
If Haaland is out for any length of time you've got a 20-25 goal striker waiting in the wings and a versatile and threatening impact sub.
Keep him for as long as he's happy with a non-starting role, same as we did Alvarez and Gabby.

I agree with this too. I think, Both that there aren’t enough world class players and that we make them world class players after they’re here for a couple of years. I generally think our recruiting has been fine - lots of potential. I think the two issues are we shouldn’t have gotten into a position where we needed to replace a lot of top players at once and I think we haven’t concentrated on midfield enough.
I do think there's been a desperation to keep Rodri and Bernardo as figureheads in the team (presumably with renewed contracts) that's meant we've not been quite as decisive with midfielders.
Also think we've missed Kovacic a lot, I know not everyone's a fan but he's a steady, reliable, tough player who's not really bad at anything.

Nico Williams would be another signing in the good but not great category. We need to be serious and go try and get Olise or Morgan Rogers. We need to shop at the top table this summer.

Depending on where Villa finish and them still having PSR issues there is an outside chance of that but the likes of Olise, Doue etc just wont happen due to prices demanded and they actually may not want to come?

Statistically I'd suggest we do. He was pretty much a goal a game in the bundesliga, gets 0.4xg per 90 this season even in his winger role.
He'd need to average maybe 0.6 goals a game to get 20 for us, playing up front with the chances we create and his obvious finishing ability, not to mention him having the best range shooting in the team, I think he'd easily get 20 (erling has already got 22 which is only 1 ahead of expected based on the chances his team mates have created for him).

Some of the B+'s this time around haven't moved into the A+ category - which may be down to coaching, or more likely lack of application on their part. (I'm not into calling players out for the most part - so don't ask me who I think falls into this)

The problem is Doku can cope with starting half the games on the bench. If you buy Leao, Nico Williams, Olise probably even Diomande they're expecting to play the vast majority of the time.
I think we've deliberately got balanced options across Doku, Marmoush, Savinho and Semenyo and none expect to be the main man.

Might be a controversial one but I do think Anthony Gordon could be very useful in our squad. A bit of steel, hunger and killer instinct we lack too. Feel like he could live with an impact role too.
