The Squad planning thread

Trafford has definitely shown more maturity and is developing really quick. I have no worries when Trafford starts because he has demonstrated he can handle the pressure.

If City, Trafford and a PL club all in agreement that he will be their first choice keeper on loan for next season it could work. 2027 Donnarumma may hear Italy calling and go home. We get a decent fee with some going to a no.2 keeper (Ederson return?) and some towards another area of the team. Italian teams would love to get Donnarumma and if he feels the pull it could all work out. At this point Trafford could be Englands no.1.
Where will he win a treble elsewhere

Is there a disconnect between who Pep wants and who the club buys of late? Because why on Earth have we bought so many players that Pep eventually decides he doesn’t even trust? Pep clearly doesn’t fancy Marmoush, Nico G, Reijnders. They cost £155m in transfer fees and it’s like Pep never wanted them. I find it bizarre to be honest.

Kroupi is a dream signing for me
Isn't he just another striker?

I dont know him that well but looking at his stats, he hardly touches the ball, makes no passes, creates almost nothing, doesnt dribble, but apparently gets a fuckton of goals.

So he's just a striker? Looks like a good up in coming one, but dont think we need that.

How on earth is anyone supposed to know what Pep will do several months after signing them?

Reijnders started in the first game this year and was unbelievable. Marmoush dragged us into the CL end of last year. Not sure the players can do much more.

Pep seemed pretty happy in the City video when he met Reijnders?

You could say the same with Nunes and now look at him. Just takes time with some players.

Have to remember Pep is a mad perfectionist and they players we already have are understand the system, style etc. exceptionally

Think its more a product of how Bournemouth plays. He definitely has both the pace, the touch and the ability on the ball to create for both himself and others. Also still very young and mouldable.

Has that Sterling-knack for being at the end of chances but is already a more natural finisher

Leao as in Rafael Leao? He’s shite.

It's not a disconnect, it's up to the players. They've all had loads of opportunities to prove themselves and cement their places.

They haven't managed to do that, and as we always seem to do at this stage we settle on a first choice team to really hit home in the run-in.

Barring injury, anyone not in the team now is going to be sub appearances and wait for next season.

If we get rid of Bernie, Kovacic, and Reijnders, then bringing in both Maza and Anderson im all in for, both 8s.

If Reijnders stays I think we only need 1 of them as he and Phil can rotate as 8s.

But your also getting rid of Gonzalez (which I get because rumors are he wants to leave) which leaves Rodri as the onlt established 6 with 1 year left he will likely run down.

We will need a 6 as well.
