Absolutely shite live imo

Granted Brown would never win X Factor (is that a bad thing??)

For me, the vibe the Roses create outweighs the "quality" of Ian Brown's vocals.

Squire, Mani and Reni have all been mentioned in the "Manchester Supergroup" thread

Anyone who expects Brown to be a great live vocalist is missing the whole point of the Roses.

The most influential band of their generation by a country mile.

Never understood the hype with the stone roses. My mates always used to go on about them, I would kid myself that I enjoyed a few of there songs until I came to the conclusion that they're boring. I wanna be adored is there best song, but that's it.

that with the bbc was pre planned,they was awkward and aloof and didn`t tow the party line,they liked to be confrontational,they didn`t like to give anything away....yes they was a band and yes they had to do interviews but it pained them to do it,funny as fuck on the late show, statement made loud and clear....

Ian Brown does not get music, yet he is a multi instrumentalist who has co written one of the greatest ever British albums and also written some nifty tunes of his own.
