This is one of the reasons I binned Sky, I will not even watch us on Sky I listen to away games I don't get to on GMR, Sky are at the very top of the City haters list, Durham does it to wind people up this bunch of twats do it because they love doing it, remember there is no agenda....my arse

Same with me mate, I either go to the game or listen to it these days

Foreign streams are the way forward for games you can't get to.

The City Football Group will make the decision that is best for the group, not necessarily Manchester City. I can't see that pissing off a large portion of supporters and potential supporters before the first game would be good for the group.

He's been used as the face of the club and to sell tickets. To have him not turn out for the first games of the clubs history would set the club back years. Particularly when the only reason that would happen is that NYCFC is considered less important to the CFG than another club.

For me, an extension until the end of their Manchester training camp is a decent compromise.

The City Football Group doesn't own New York, Manchester City does. The CFG is the name of the holding company that we set up to make an easier administration of all of our investments.

This is like saying that CFG will do what is best for Brookshaw Developments. City ARE the CFG.
City Football Group is the holding company for all four clubs. And they didnt buy into the other three to see them fail just so we can cherry pick the odd player from them.

In that case, if it's as crucial as you suggest & also City don't have the main say in what happens, then you have nothing to worry about & Lampard will be off to NYC on schedule.

We'll see, will be an interesting test for the internal workings of the group. Like I said, I wouldnt be surprised if the loan was extended a month or so.

Re: Sunday Supplement 14/15 Thread

It’s incredible that this lot can put a negative spin on a £200m investment geared to bringing on young talent. Suddenly, we have the ‘but how many will be English’ shite being trotted out and ‘but how many will get into the first team’. If they were in any way objective, they would accept that those who are good enough to get in the first team will do so, regardless of nationality. The fact is, whatever some may think, there is an anti City agenda in the media. Can you imagine this shite being trotted out if it was Chelsea, Arsenal or, God forbid, Utd making this sort of investment? The agenda evidence is clear. As for Patrick Barclay, I personally hope that he gets something life threatening in time for Christmas.

Theres talk that if we keep frank that we have to provide another star player for NYCFC. People have to try and appreciate things from a business point of view city pissing NYCFC around and the fans and MLS doesnt make for a great start to the franchise! Sometimes our fans can't have the attitude that NYCFC can get fucked as they are part of OUR business model!! Manchester City owns NYCFC so from a commercial aspect it has to be treated with respect and the right way from the start.
Do have any fans yet? They haven't actually set foot on a pitch as a team or club and no fans have ever cheered them on.

To be honest, I bet NYCFC are fucking delighted with all this talk of Lampard staying at City. They are a club that didn't exist a year or so ago and only got enough players to play a game about a week ago, yet is being talked about constantly in the sporting media. The amount of publicity it's giving them is fantastic, far more than any other MLS team has ever got over here. Whether Lampard stays at City is far bigger news than anything that actually happens in the MLS.

Obviously they will want him in their starting lineup when the season starts, but I imagine they are thrilled with the coverage. Not only does it put them on the map, it's bigging up Lampards reputation, which in turn raising NYCFC's reputation.

I imagine that this exposure in the PL by media in USA will do wonders for sponsorship income in USA.

ADUG would want this to continue.

Patrick Barclay is just an annoying windbag - full stop. A prize dip stick who thinks that only the so called elite clubs can dine at the top table. I don't think he has ever had a good thing to say about City ever.

people have bought season tickets,so yes they have fans already, which is one of the reasons all partys must be happy

Re: Sunday Supplement 14/15 Thread

They have fans in the same way that Spiderman has fans. You don't actually have to do anything to be a NYCFC fan apart from declare yourself one as they've never even held a training session in the US, let alone played a game. The Wealdstone Raider could have been talking about them directly....they ain't got no fans, they ain't got no ground....

Re: Sunday Supplement 14/15 Thread

These fuckers are brain dead.

One of them mentioned that the shite have youth players in the team now. Yes, but only because of injuries or we wouldn't have heard of them until they were sold to Sunderland or Hull.

He then spouted on how the shite brought players through the academy and sold them on for millions for the good of the game. Err, not a mention for our academy under Jimmy Frizzell where a whole conveyor belt of players actually made the first team then were sold on later.

Oh, and nobody's mentioned yet the comment from the one that looks like a toad. The presenter turned to him after the Chelsea love in and said something like "Any controversy at the game you were at yesterday (Leicester)" to which he replied "only the result.....". Fucking clown.
