All this crap with the press use to really piss me of but not now , i dont read any papers, i dont have sky, i dont have bt,i dont listern to talksport. if i can make it to my dads i watch City with him as i cant afford sky,bt etc. If not i have the live fed up from Citys website.
I get most of my infomation about City from the City website, or here ! , or on City's youtube site. ( i use to use manchesteronline but found that turned anti City to )

And yes, Manchester City can demand Lampard stays here instead of at New York. New York is owned by Manchester City thus can run its business in whichever way it chooses. You also have the right as a fan of NYCFC to voice your displeasure to the board and vote with your feet and not support the club.

The City Football Group will make the decision that is best for the group, not necessarily Manchester City. I can't see that pissing off a large portion of supporters and potential supporters before the first game would be good for the group.

He's been used as the face of the club and to sell tickets. To have him not turn out for the first games of the clubs history would set the club back years. Particularly when the only reason that would happen is that NYCFC is considered less important to the CFG than another club.

For me, an extension until the end of their Manchester training camp is a decent compromise.

The City Football Group doesn't own New York, Manchester City does. The CFG is the name of the holding company that we set up to make an easier administration of all of our investments.

This is like saying that CFG will do what is best for Brookshaw Developments. City ARE the CFG.

Re: Sunday Supplement 14/15 Thread

To be honest, I bet NYCFC are fucking delighted with all this talk of Lampard staying at City. They are a club that didn't exist a year or so ago and only got enough players to play a game about a week ago, yet is being talked about constantly in the sporting media. The amount of publicity it's giving them is fantastic, far more than any other MLS team has ever got over here. Whether Lampard stays at City is far bigger news than anything that actually happens in the MLS.

Obviously they will want him in their starting lineup when the season starts, but I imagine they are thrilled with the coverage. Not only does it put them on the map, it's bigging up Lampards reputation, which in turn raising NYCFC's reputation.

Re: Sunday Supplement 14/15 Thread

Theres talk that if we keep frank that we have to provide another star player for NYCFC. People have to try and appreciate things from a business point of view city pissing NYCFC around and the fans and MLS doesnt make for a great start to the franchise! Sometimes our fans can't have the attitude that NYCFC can get fucked as they are part of OUR business model!! Manchester City owns NYCFC so from a commercial aspect it has to be treated with respect and the right way from the start.

Exeter Blue I am here said:
Full complement of rag c*nts today: Bates, Richardson, Barclay. Some hilarious stuff already. On the subject of diving......

Richardson: Bobby Robson told Laurent Robert, don't do that (dive) again, or you won't play for this club.
Barclay [straightfaced] Yeh, Ferguson was like that at Old Trafford. You didn't see a lot of diving there.

Erm, erm, Ronaldo, Rooney, Nani, Young, etc etc.......

True (and credit to Lampard for that) but it's not great for their reputation if he stays with us until May.

He should stay until the 1st week of March imo.

We should have just signed him ourselves. Hindsight eh?

my thoughts too. It's a new team with a new promise to New Yorkers and Lampard needs to be there are promised at the start of the season. It would be rather careless of us to think of only ourselves.

City Football Group is the holding company for all four clubs. And they didnt buy into the other three to see them fail just so we can cherry pick the odd player from them.
