The Sunday Supplement thread 2014/15

City don't provide much copy for the press, which they hate. So any little nugget, they go to town.

The Lampard situation was/is a PR disaster and has given the likes of Lipton and Barclay ammo but we'll learn from it.

'Disaster' is slightly over stating it. It's in the past now and all the pundits I heard were saying we did nothing wrong.

And why do you only seem to have a pop at me about it, when De Niro said the same thing? Indeed, when you quoted me earlier, you edited out his comment. Why, if you're not simply having a pop at me? Serious question.

you come across as a right mard arse there mate
Looking back, it does a bit, doesn't it? Mind you, I've been called worse on here. Regularly. And probably will again. Apologies to anyone I've upset (yes, even Moomba). Not feeling the best this morning.

Not enough tbh.. ;)

Lipton is the dickhead who said Sergio 'wasn't all that' when we signed him. His radio rant was so bad he must hate to be reminded of it. Prick.

Not really a PR disaster, understandable that Lampard was being gracious about hawking his skills, papers have put him in a hole for the Chelsea game.......they're all seething that we beat the FFP trap (and did last time too until a last minute goal post/stabbing in the back move) gloves are off now and I wouldn't be suprised to see Messi join us as a big two fingers at FFP althoughMCFC want FFP now as it means less competition.

Re: Sunday Supplement 14/15 Thread

As a City fan I would never have realised that there is this program on BBC if not for this thread.
I wonder how many none City fans know of its existence and watch it at 9am on a sunday morning ?

Perhaps BBC are deliberately being provocative with the guests they invite with a view to increasing its popularity ? Then move it to a more suitable slot perhaps.

Political programs eg Question Time are composed of speakers with usually differing political views so that some sort of fairness can prevail.

I know that pundits for live games appear to be from Liverpool or Man U for viewing figures but for programs about football topics rather than the actual games it does seem unusual to not have a balanced panel when the program agenda is laid out beforehand.
