The survey was done ( or made up ) by a property site not The Sun and like all surveys that are not independant, the whole point of it is to get some publicity for the company doing it and what better way to do that than coming out with some bullshit about supporters of the national game that will have page after page of furious fans, crying about it on forums all over the internet?

Does the table not show the % of the teams support that live local - and the article is talking about the % of locals that support the team?

So if a team in a town of 1k population all of whom were season ticket holders had a fully sold out stadium holding 100k - 100% of people from the local area would be fans, but only 1% of their fans would be locals.
