Because the decision to join was made by Sheik Mansour, advised by Khaldoon. Soriano no doubt was consulted but the two big boys made the decision.

Fair response, I agree that now the dust is settling we seem to have more ducks in a row than previous.

Even if it were a ploy though, throwing fans under the bus for political gain doesnt sit right with me either. I'm not one of those fans that have seemingly thrown the towel in, I'm still a City fan and as soon as kick off happened yesterday all thoughts of the SL were banished and I just wanted to see my team win a game of football.

Crafty ploy or not the club dropped a clanger in my opinion, but they have seemingly fallen in a shit hole and come up holding a Mars bar.

The fans are unfortunately the least important consideration in this, for all.the clubs really, and also the easist to navigate around. It sucks, but it is so. Accept it now, accept it later, never accept it, makes no difference really.
