We wouldn't have signed up unless Khaldoon is very much for this

We signed up for this because we were left with very little choice. Become a 2nd tier club, financially and competitively disadvantaged or join.

Fans might prefer the first option but after the investment of our owners, there was only one realistic option for them. We would have probably preferred to continue as of now as we're not doing too badly but that option was no longer available.

We have complained about how corrupt UEFA are, now we are going to destroy their power base. I think we need to calm down and let the dust settle, what is going to happen is UEFA , the Premier League and others issuing threats in an effort to protect their fiefdoms.
Personally I will be watching City regardless. and could you imagine how you would feel this morning if you were a supporter of a team not in this breakaway group, this is not football snobbery just a fact.
Your poorly thought out opinion is music to the ears of the globally super rich football club owner.

In fact, let's call it what it has now become... a football franchise.

I feel sick!!

Are there any plans for a stadium protest? I moved to Blackpool last year but would be more than happy to attend. I've saved nearly £2k this year with the stadium lockdown, and to be honest I will happily spend my money on something more worthwhile than seeing it go to the cockroaches that have stolen our game.

I want to know one thing.....have we been involved in these negotiations from day one or have we joined at a later stage because our owners have felt we as a club we will be left behind and had now choice?
Either way I want an honest answer and furthermore a detaild statement as to why !

Been thinking about this all night, nothing will get me on board with this shitshow.

This is all about American money, the Silverlake investment now makes terrible sense...

But wtf were UEFA thinking when appointing the likes of Tebas to the executive comittee, then coming up with a proposal for the CL which amazingly is even worse than the current nonsense.

Even if this gets watered down and a deal gets done to restore the status quo... which will happen when enough cash gets dished around...

The worst aspect of this for me is that the trust in our owners has gone.

Oh how we laughed at the weird yanks running Utd, Arsenal & Liverpool and their plotting and scheming...

unfortunately it now seems our ownership is no better.

City fans have backed our owners every step of the way, we thought they were in it for the right reasons. Our owners are no better than The Glazers, Kronke or the Strange people at Liverpool...

Feels like terminal betrayal regardless of what happens from now on.

So thats it for me, I’ll not be going back. Sky is getting cancelled later today. The club will never see another penny from me.

The bond is broken. I don’t give a shit about this season either. Feels fake, we’ve been conned.

Each founding club receives £3.5b just for signing up, I wonder why the majority of these clubs with huge debts are interested in being involved.... pure greed.

Do you know why UEFA (in your view) were corrupt? To pander to this bunch of power hungry greedy bastards that we are now involved with.

There is nothing more corrupt and greedy than a breakaway league that is by invitation only. That has Joel Glazer and Henry as vice-chairmen.

I know a small number of supporters won't give a toss because City are involved but fucking hell take your head out of your arse, take a step back and just think about what this is. As a fan, not a tribal defender of billionaires.

Covid has proven that fans in grounds are not needed.

I posted about this when people were wanting football to be restarted, that clubs at the top no longer need fans in the ground, if anything housing fans is a pain in the arse, its easier without them and the TV audience makes up for it. All the PL games are now on tv, 3pm KO are on TV , games moved even more to suit TV.

The new fan has a TV subscription to whatever company bids for the rights. It breaks my heart but it is happening.

Real Madrid played Liverpool the other week in their mini stadium. Nobody batted an eyelid about it, but think of the ramifications of that.
Indeed.

The fans are football, in our heads and hearts, in football’s soul, we are everything... yet at the same time we are nothing!

I think this is the end, it’s over, football has fucking eaten itself!

You’re fucking spot on about capitalism, Rasc, spot on!

You won’t get an honest statement mate
Once you sign up you tow the party line
We won’t say we only joined because everyone else day and really we didn’t want to
We’ll repeat the same shit in the joint statement as if we really believe it
