Guess we will see just how principled Pep is very shortly.
Truth is he’s on a hiding to nothing due to things out of his control.
Was never gonna happen after the initial outcry.

fair play to every fan that voiced there disapproval

And fair play to likes of Neville, Carragher, Milner etc who stood against this.

it’s a win for football and a realisation that what we have is great, so let’s appreciate it.
Agree, now go and grab 4th place

Please edit that to put KDB and Laporte ahead of all of those and Pep of course... ;)

This season we should be hailed as The Saviours. Now let’s go and get that treble for the fans.

Popped over to the dark side to see their thoughts, this, from a Leverkusen fan, shows that some over there get it when you look outside the 50+1 bubble. It was in the super league thread so adding it here.

First post it shows, from Zehner

Anyone trying to make out being the club to lead the way on withdrawing is worth nothing should stop trying, it has to be and it did have an impact.

Although I do wonder if Chelsea had stayed, if just City abandoning it would have been enough. Both clubs made the choice independently of what any other club was doing IMO, I'll give Chelsea that much.

Well the MSM will probably tell it like that rather than praise City/cut them a little more slack than the others but the more observant fans can remind others about the reports that City had already submitted the documentation at lunch-time today but waited until much later to announce it(perhaps waiting until it had been received?). Whereas Chelsea leaked that they were merely getting the documentation sorted several hours later and waited until after their game to announce anything.

Also we have the fact that up until now City are the only club that a UEFA spokesperson has confirmed has officially left the ESL. Why wouldn't Caferin include them in his statement? Those saying "Chelsea had a game" Are basically suggesting, some positive news for the players, coaching staff and the fans would negatively effect the team before a game. Which is some strange logic to me.

I suppose it's not worth arguing over but I'm pretty sure we were last in and first out of something the club never really wanted to see.
When history is rewritten we will have been first in and last out

Ahh well, back to those clubs calling us cheating cunts using baseless accusations and absolute bile.

Football is still very much fucked if in winning you're treated like a pariah by the media, by this I mean the media still just want the initial big 4 to take everything home and clap for anyone plucky enough to win a scrap.

We haven't seen football saved as much because there are that many deadhead fans, journalists and hangers on who roll out the brown carpet every time we do something good.
