You can never tell which games can become a banana skin it’s always the unlikely ones, it’s impossible to be sure of winning any game. However I don’t see how you can look at those fixtures and think they’ll get more points than us. They might but we should be favourites still.
Still got us down as taking it with a game to spare.

Lfc are not going to lose any games from hereon, in fact they seem to be in the right place to win them all. Its going to take a lot for us to beat their momentum, especially since we peaked too soon it seems.

Cmon city you can do it, spoil the media excitement

Thankfully, the players aren't on here hanging on peoples every word about what they should be concerned with or how they should be feeling about the title race.

If we did have a direct line to the players though:

Does anyone really think it would be helpful to the players, to bombard them with everything that isn't quite right and everything that could(or is going to happen according to some) go wrong?

On the flip side of that, offer them nothing positive, downplay everything good. All our players are shit, we are lucky when we win and it's all in spite of Pep when we do, not because of how good he is.

Guarding against complacency is one thing but my word, some on here lose the plot when we face a bit of adversity these days.

Since the 2-2 draw in Jan against Chelsea Liverpool have played....

Brentford H (3-0)
Palace A (3-1)dodgy pen at 2-1
Leicester H (2-0)
Burnley A (1-0)
Norwich H (3-1)
Leeds H (6-0)
West Ham H (1-0) Missed tons of chances
Brighton A (2-0)

No wonder they've won 8 on the bounce.

During that run we had...

Chelsea H
Southampton A
Brentford H
Norwich A
Spurs H
Everton A
Rags H
Palace A
I said the same myself. It was inevitable they were going to catch us up with that run of fixtures for each of us.

And after losing to Palace in October, up to that run of fixtures you’ve listed, it was almost the reverse. We had an easier run of games and won 12 in a row, while they had a tougher run and dropped 12 points out of 33.

Now it starts to even itself out. After both teams having two opposite runs of fixtures from October to New Year, and New Year to now; both teams have a mixed bag of tough:easy games to end the season. And even the easy games are teams who are fighting for something so both teams almost have a cup final each week.

It’s going to be another great run in. We should be enjoying this, it’s what football is all about and it’s why we were taken over!

Nothing is guaranteed, we may fail this season. But we can rest assured that Pep and the players will give everything to succeed. They are huge competitors.

A tight title race may bring the best out of the team, whereas an easy win like last season could have made us complacent. Naturally, we prefer an easy win, but difficult games and set-backs like Spurs and Palace are likely to help us perform at our very best.
