If West Ham can get to the final, that could be very good news for us with our game the weekend before
If results go right for us, every team we face may have nothing to play for. I think Leeds are just about safe, Watford are down pretty much, Brighton and Villa are finishing mid table, Wolves haven’t got much hope of qualifying for Europe and hopefully West Ham get to the europa league final.

Slippy will want a result to give it to his beloved dipperpool

No team has nothing to play for when they play city it’s a scalp a pep scalp for there manager! Every game we play will be a hard slog and if we ain’t on it we will drop points! Plus there teams we be playing there players would probably had a weeks rest where we have player 2/3 days before.

People won't like me saying it, but for both City and Liverpool to be going into this stretch of the season with a quad/treble to play for is remarkable and a testament to be both teams. You would imagine, given how matched both teams are, that they'd probably share both trophies, and I have a sneaking suspicion that Chelsea might actually end up ruining the party for whoever makes the final, but it really is incredible.

I think when City fans denigrate Liverpool on the pitch they also unintentionally do the same to this incredible City squad. They are two amazing groups of players and probably the first time since WW2 that England has the two best teams in the world. It’s like when some posters said Liverpool ‘bottled it’ in 2019 - which looking at their results in the second half of the season was a preposterous thing to say and served to undermine what an incredible achievement winning that title was.

It’s going to be horrible if they win the league, but that’s what makes each game carry so much weight. I’m pretty philosophical if they do. The nature of our title wins in 2012, 2014, 2018 and 2019, and the law of averages, means we are due one in reverse at some point - I just hope it’s not this season!

It would be so much duller if every season was a procession. Still in the extant tournaments at Easter; every game a big game; every game a ‘must win’; the eyes of the footballing world upon us - and the rags are still wank.

This is what it’s all about!
