Chelsea have a really tough month ahead playing Liverpool, us and Spurs in the League and also playing Spurs twice in the League cup.

They could quite easily be a dozen points behind us by the time Feb ticks around.

If they somehow cut our lead then they will have had a fantastic month.

The dippers also have a lot of games to play including Chelsea and two games against Arsenal in the League cup, the bulk of the month will be without Salah and Mane.

Chelsea aren’t winning it. They’ve been very lucky in a few of their wins and they just don’t look like title winners, especially with City and Liverpool having good seasons.

They also don't have their first team keeper Chelsea.

Klopp and Tuchel starting to lose the plot too now. This is what relentless pressure does. If we can win Sat then it puts huge pressure on the pair of them and the loser of that game is out of it for me.

Chelsea v Liverpool will end in a draw and City's lead at the top will be in double digits. No-one is catching you lot. Happy to call it now. Its done. Congrats you fuckers.
If it doesn’t end in a draw one of you is out of it.
The CL will of course be interesting, I'm hoping there's not an all English tie this season!!
Enjoyed chatting with your lot in Porto - you're not all bad you fuckers ;)

Should think 85 will be enough for a comfortable title win as cannot see Liverpool or Chelsea getting more than about 81-82 however I'm confident we'll break the 90 point barrier

The kick-off scheduling of the Brentford and Arsenal games was supposed to be the fix.

If we can win both, then we have a couple of weeks to recharge and keep our foot on the pedal.

Let's not forget it was a 12 point gap to Liverpool in January when we went on to win it.

A draw between Chelsea and Liverpool, and us beating Chelsea, and we can start to breathe a little easier.
Do you mean when we beat them by 1 point (98 to 97)? If so, they were 7 points ahead before we beat them at home at the start of January (reducing the deficit to 4 points). They were never 12 points ahead (if I remember correctly).

If we beat Brentford & Goons we will have broken any opposition and it will become another procession , maximum we can get is 104pts , so doubt we will surpass our centurions season , but if we achieve mid nineties i can't see any other team getting within ten points of us.
I try and make it much much easier

We all know we won't go on & win all our remaining games but at a guess with 54 points to play for we will drop at least 10-12 points.

Chelsea have dropped 13 from there last 10 & with injuries to both Thiago & Chilwell who has been there major problem imo & now Reece James looking like hes out for a few I don't see them getting anymore than 38-40 points from 54
Scousers are the threat so Chelsea getting the better is a must imo on the 2nd therefore I see Liverpool losing another 12 points at least & thats being kind especially with Salah/Mane missing with AFCON

So my thinking & sums

City 94
Liverpool 86
Chelsea 82
Arsenal 76 I hope for Arteta

Would settle for that as long as the Rags finish in the europa conference and we get the Thursday night song going again.

That’s definitely correct. Seven points was the biggest lead Liverpool had over us at any stage of that season.

Liverpool have 41 points from 19 games, lets say they average 2.5 points a game for the last 19 games, this would match our average PPG this season. this gives them a total of 88 points.
We would need 39 points from the last 18 games, 13 wins means we could lose 5 games in the run in.

With Salah and Mane away for the African nations cup there is nothing to suggest they will get the 2.5 points stated, more likely they may match the 41 points already won giving 82 in total.

18 games left

we’ve just won 10 on the spin and would need 16 wins and 2 draws just to match our 100 point record.

shows how incredible that season was

It's over honestly can see us winning the next 4-5 titles ,liveroool are old team with no money , Chelsea are overated Just a cup team.

Liverpool.and Chelsea are shite only 1 good team in the league it's us their is no title race anyone who thinks so is deluded it's going to be a procession we have turned the EPL into ligue 1 it's lovely we can piss the league every year for the next decade.

It wasn't Tolm - most it ever was was 10pts and we had a game in hand against Southampton which we won. The next game, we beat the scousers.

The longer time goes on the more you realize just how insane that centurion season was.

By any metric that is one of the best modern day football feats and it’s criminal how little credit we’ve been given for it. We’d have a weekly Sunday spot reliving the glory if it was United who did it.

I’d go on to say that team should go down as the best premier league team in history

Liverpool can get 98, so we need 98 at the moment
I thought we'd need 90 plus but Klopp and Tuchel have cracked. Liverpool have proven to be massively reliant on Salah, and when he has a bad game, they are vulnerable whilst Chelsea still cannot score goals. I believe Chelsea will come good again as their injury problems recede but for the moment these problems are getting worse. In this respect City fans should beware. There is nothing to say that City could not suffer the injury problems that Chelsea are facing, so we should just enjoy the moment. For now, the hurdle is probably set at around 85 points as I can't see Liverpool or chelsea beating that. Indeed the main opposition City should now focus on are Arsenal and Manchester Utd. Arsenal because they have the best young talent in the Premier league, and Manchester United because they are financially the most powerful rival who will buy and buy and buy again until they are successful. Liverpool are in the last season of this current squad. They face a dilemma over whether to renew Salah's contract because he is surely in the last 2 seasons as a world class player, and when he fades, their entire side will fade.

If City beat Arsenal, we will have one hand on the Premier League. Chelsea and Liverpool are imploding. I am not surprised that Tuchel is close to tears but it is no way to lead a Premier League side whimpering in front of the cameras like a modern day Kevin Keegan.

The sky is the limit this season whilst Foden and de Bruyne stay fit. This is the most important thing, staying fit for the climax of the season. Focus is about to switch to the FA Cup and Champions League. Make sure we stay in all competitions City.
