If only they were still in Europe. I now regret being happy when they got eliminated :( :(

I'm the other way with that one. The league is all those players are worried about and they're younger and don't have the experience in title races bar Zinny & Gabby and the rest haven't been here before. The cracks are showing in them the past three games. They did well to get a point this morning, but they still drew at home to the bottom side.

They've blown two two goal leads before this result, and now blown a golden chance to release the pressure on themselves and head to our place 7 points clear.

They're of course capable of winning it from here, but we've sailed these seas before, and we have a squad chasing history under a manager who knows how it's done and won't let our standards slip.

The game against them will show if Arsenal have anything left for the fight the rest of the season, if we turn them over I can see them imploding, plus they've handed over the advantage where a draw with our games in hand will still be in the back of their minds.

It’s still going to be very very tough for us. We play them at home. I fear when we have to go to Brighton away as pep as alluded to that Theyvare the best team of the moment. Brighton

Incredibly, after 3 draws dropping 6 pts in 3 games, it's STILL in both teams' hands.

Obviously arsenal look like they're shitting themselves inside out and City have a busier fixture list, but both teams still in it. Live the drama.
The difference now we can draw Weds and still go ahead when on even games.
We win that allows us to lose a game at some stage.
We can even afford a loss, which no longer would be terminal they can’t anymore
We need to go for the jugular and secure the points before their run of 4 difficult games
Come on City what a week we are having

I thought there was a chance they could have closed our goal difference over the last two games, instead they've dropped 4 points and been lucky it wasn't worse.

It gives us some breathing room that we might need with all the games, but we couldn't have asked for more.

Even if they beat us on Wednesday, they've got to be perfect in every game the rest of the season to keep it in their hands and their recent performances suggest that's unlikely. A draw on Wednesday would now be ok, but first we've got a final to get to.

Do think us playing twice a week may be better than sitting around waiting for games - Arsenal have plenty of time to reflect on poor performances and let the pressure build and build.
Pep has always said that momentum from playing (and winning) trumps fatigue every time. In the last decade no one has finished seasons better than us, especially in Pep's seasons.

Do people not see the danger in this though? We’ve gone from needing to beat Arsenal at all costs to thinking “well, a draw is good now” and they’ve gone through the exact reverse. That change in mindset on both sides can actually make this game more difficult? Pep has had the team purring by making out that each game is win or bust. The Arsenal game would have been that too but now it isn’t. So the players need to actually show they’re unaffected by that. If we give them an inch, they’ll take a mile. We need to still play like we desperately need to win.

I'm basically highlighting a bad scenario that even dropping two points next week keeps it in our own hands.

That's more than we had a couple hours ago.
