BM would forever lose half its users during the Brentford match. ;-)

Yep, for want of a better way of framing it the knocks and injuries and disciplinaries and even the world cup have come at the right time, if such things exists, for the squad. It's as much luck as rotation, but Haaland got a mid-winter break, Foden is fit and ready because of his operation, Walker got his knob out and now looks like he can run a marathon with a point to prove, Dias and Stones have had a few weeks off at critical points and so on.

Just think the "you're tired, fuck you" is more true than ever for this squad. Any player that is really showing red on all the fitness reports can have a rest if needed, everyone else has no fucking excuse, and we just need to stay lucky with injuries. And even then Rodri remains the only one that really keeps me up night.

And totally agree about Everton and the two home games being the season. Win them and we don't even have to think about cup finals till we've lifted the PL, and we are in a very, very comfortable position going into the final stretch.

Rodri is the one like you say.

I think Pep's been a lot bolder this year in the changes he's made and how soon he has made them. Last year I doubt he'd have made so many changes so early, as he did at home to Leicester...although he nearly regretted it. I also doubt he'd have made as many changes as he did for Leeds. Only three outfield players have completed 90mins against Leeds and Real Madrid. He's kept it fresh.

Comparatively the 14 players you'd expect to see involved for Real and ourselves, ours actually average about 3 games less per player and 200minutes. The WC causes a bit of a variation of course, but we're in good shape.

They can completely rest this weekend whilst we have to use a fair few who will start on Wednesday.

Everton away worries me as does Brighton away. Think we will have enough otherwise. Only real reason Everton concerns me is the timing of the fixture

For as tough as it was in Madrid, it was very hot and we'll have had plenty of time to rest. As I said in previous posts, Pep has rotated/rested players a lot in recent weeks and it's more about the mentality than the physical side of the game.

This season when we were playing one game a week we were quite inconsistent. Since the games have ramped up we're more in a rhythm and it's about game management.

Mentally you just break it down as the key week to our season. Three games, two at home, win them all. If you achieve that then we'll be on the brink in the league and looking forward to an FA Cup and CL final. With the squad we have, all of the players should be wanting to show their attributes and do what Pep wants.

We know roughly what our 11 would be in the finals (subject to Pep experimenting and Ake's injury). So Foden, Mahrez, Alvarez, Laporte all have a point to prove to force their way back in.

Ederson sent off, no more subs available...
Walker scores and then saves in the penalty shoot-out to win the CL final.
History is made.
