It's very unrealistic. Pep's worst point tally at City was 78 pts back in 16/17 season. 78 pts will be enough for top 4 this season, and virtually any other PL season. Even when we had to play with Ferna and Ota at CB in 19/20 we won 81 pts and had the best GD in the league.
The thing is Pep's teams are among the best league teams of all time. Pep's football is perfect for league seasons. If we don't suffer bad injuries to the likes of Rodri and Haaland, we'll win between 86 and 93 pts, imo, most probably between 88 and 90 pts. My guess is that the second best team will win between 80 and 84 pts. 70 pts are likely to be enough for top 4, the top teams will drop a lot of points, especially those in the CL.

Yep. Means zilch. We would win every game if it did. United look better now a manager has finally seen sense and dropped that pair of donkey’s Maguire and Shaw and Ego Ronaldo. They at least seem to be playing as a team.ha. Still thought they were the better team on the whole which obviously means nothing.

Do you really think Arsenal will be anywhere near the top at the end of the season? I’d be surprised if they get 75 points.Bar the Rags winning and the media w@nkfest to follow, that was a good result for us.

Today’s game had no bearing on this thread as neither side will finish in the top two. The best two sides in the country meet next Saturday … that will give us an early indicator of how the season will unfold.

Assuming the world cup impacts all the contenders fairly equally then the team with the best manger, squad players will probably win the league. We haven't play top 4 contenders but, at the same time, our rivals are likely to drop points at W Ham and/or Newcastle.
Last season, we dropped more points vs Palace than vs Liverpool. And we dropped as many points vs Southampton as vs Liverpool. Dropping pts at Newcastle and Villa doesn't mean we are doing worse than last season.

We are averaging 89-90 pts under Pep and are on course to 89 pts. I think we improved the squad from last season (it may be our best squad ever, the 18/19 squad was great but Ferna finished the season 34, Kompany 33, David 33, Sergio 31...I'd rather have Rodri, Dias, Haaland, Alvarez, Grealish, Foden and Cancelo than their counterparts from 18/19, but time will tell, might be wrong here: the 18/19 squad won the domestic quadruple!!).
