I can’t agree with you there mate.

But I definitely wouldn’t want to take the risk!

I think the immortality of it being the first ever 4th in a row, is epic enough in itself. And even with the most boring of 1-0 wins should be more than enough to not need it won in spectaular fashion on mental permutations and alignement of perfect results etc.

Tomorrow is one of the biggest games since the takeover for me.

We’ve won titles, we’ve won cups, we’ve won Champions Leagues and we’ve won trebles. Teams have done that before though and in most of those instances they do it every single season.

No team in history however has ever won 4 top flight English titles in the men’s game. It would be a truly historic achievement and cement City as being the new pinnacle of English football.

Remember a few years back we were pissing the league but spewed a 2 goal lead to lose 3 2 at home to the rags, this followed a hugely disappointing European exit to the scousers. Had to go to Spurs away with people shitting their pants convinced we were going to blow the title, result a comfortable win, won the league without kicking another ball. Have to say though this feels more like Newcastle away in 2012 a difficult away against a team chasing Europe. We won because we were better, let's do it again tomorrow Blues.

Not sure about anybody being convinced we’d blown the title?

We were still something like 12 points clear with 5 or 6 games left.

The title was in the bag long before the derby.

Really? Very few people on this board would swap Villa or QPR, for one of the final day processions.

I'm hoping we win at Spurs, but if we went into the West Ham game with real jeopardy, and won it with a goal fest, it would be one of the all time great games.

Yeah really.

If I asked if you wanted to start the game tomorrow vs Spurs at 4-0 down would you take it on the chance that we might win 5-4 and deliver one of the greatest City performances and moments of all time?

You should never want your team to suffer on the chance it might make things more exciting because you don’t know what’s around the corner. Arsenal are more than capable of putting 4 or 5 vs Everton meaning we’d have to win 7 or 8 nil against West Ham.

It’s just a bizarre thing to come out with tbh.

except this time the home fans want us to win aswell.

It won't be gone for two reasons.

First, there's a very small chance, say 5%, that Arsenal will fail to win vs Everton. Nerves, luck, mistakes, etc.

Second, there's a non-small chance that Arsenal will win only by a goal or two vs Everton, whose defensive record is better than W Ham's, and that City win big vs W Ham as City are well City, and W Ham haven't been in top form recently.

Think we'll have at least a 25% chance to win the league if we draw tomorrow.
Part of me likes the idea of this. I reckon if we scored two early goals we could put the fear of God into them. But realistically you would think they would win by at least a couple of goals which leaves us needing to win by 5 or 6. Not likely but not impossible. Remember that game against Villa and how we got ourselves out of a hole oh and a certain game against QPR was a bit of a rescue act too.

They won't once the game starts if they are still in with a chance of top 4.
50/50 that imo

Spuds hate Arsenal like we hate the Rags and can see the Spuds fans wanting to rub salt in their neighbours wounds more than actually qualifying for CL

They also have Sheff Utd away last game

Either way we have to turn it on and just concentrate on our own game

Of course not - that's not what I suggested.

I'm just challenging you thinking it's "weird" that there's a small temptation there to see what happens. I don't want it to have to happen, but if it does, I'll enjoy seeing what Pep's plan is, and of course I'll be there to watch it.

It's also very, very different to turning over 4 goals away at Spurs. That's much. much more unlikely, and also wouldn't even win us the league on the day.

West Ham have conceded 71 goals this season, with only the relegated sides worse off. Everton, amazingly, have the fourth best defensive record in the league, so gaining on Arsenal's goal difference is probably likely, although gaining 3 is definitely a challenge that I wouldn't choose to face.
