We're not as good as we were last season and numerous teams are better. 85+ may well win the league this season.
Hopefully you're not comparing this current side to the side that finished the last two months of last season?

You'd be foolish to do so, you'd be better off comparing this current side to this time last season, where I think we are about on a par both performance and points wise.

This could he a very fun title race especially for the neutral
Think it will be fun to be involved in too.

Be great to be involved in a multi-way fight for the title. It was three-way in 2014 until the late April, which was fun. And different.

We usually only have one rival for each title that we won. There have been other seasons where there have been multiple rivals for the title, but not ones where we’ve won it.

It would be an amazing thing to experience - and to prevail in.

You'd normally have a sense of what the season is shaping up like, and I'm not sure we have that yet. There's quality up and down the top ten, and I think all will take points off each other. Liverpool and Arsenal yet to play other helps us, our games against Spurs and Villa now feel really important given we've already dropped points to other teams in the top four and we've won leagues in the past on beating other "big six" teams.

It would be nice to be in a race where dropped points don't feel like a disaster. This could be one of those years. And it'd be great if we could get a record fourth-in-a-row after a multi-team tussle.

I don't think Julian is the problem but rather Foden's inconsistency.. we've waited years for him to become the true KDB successor, and he has a good game and then follows it up with a bad one.

Also he is a bit selfish and doesn't square it when he should.. where as Julian even though in a slump always goes for the high % play, passing to a team mate.

Maybe Pep sees the same and wants another winger to move Foden to central midfield alongside Rodri.. the Stones role to cover for when Stones is injured.

But even bigger problem is inconsistency in midfield. while everyone is saying we should have scored more with KDB.. I think the ability to kill off other teams's chances in midfield before they get to our back line is even more dire.

I think we might actually be active this winter transfer market!

I think Foden’s biggest problem is confidence, he’s spent so long on the fringe of the team coming in and dropping out that he doesn’t have that arrogance and swagger to just walk in and take control of a team like we’ve seen with Maddison at Spurs or Palmer at Chelsea.

Somehow Pep needs to make him realise how good he is and then give him an extended run in the same position where he can push on and make the breakthrough from wunderkind potential to world class player delivering every week.

I hope so, the midfield is bare bones. Madness for Txiki not sorting Gundos contract. We miss him.
