Think premier now is more competitive, teams be taking points of all teams so our next two games beat spurs and a draw at Villa who are the inform team isn't that bad

Don't want to labour the point too much, but if you look at the last 6 games that ourselves, Liverpool and Arsenal have had, you'd have expected Liverpool to have taken more points than they actually have, and it's actually ourselves and Arsenal that have taken more points during that period.

I think it's fair to say that the next 10 games will really start to dictate how the season will pan out, as we've got 2 tough games on the horizon, before 8 very winnable games.

Arsenal have got to play Villa, Brighton, Liverpool and West Ham before Christmas.

Liverpool have got United, Arsenal and then Newcastle on new year's day.

If we can get a bit of momentum beating Spurs and perhaps a point at Villa, you'd hope that we'd be a good few points clear going into 2024.

Liverpool have played Chelsea a, Spurs a, Newcastle a, Villa h and picked up 8pts
Arsenal have played United h, Spurs, h, City h, Chelsea a, Newcastle a and picked up 8pts
We've played Newcastle h, Arsenal a, Rags a, Chelsea a, Liverpool h and picked up 8pts

Winning the next two would be a brilliant start to the season for us considering who we've played.

Next 5:
City - Spurs H, Villa A, Luton A, Palace H, Club World Cup
Arsenal - Wolves H, Luton A, Villa A, Brighton H, Liverpool A
Liverpool - Fulham H, Sheffield United A, Palace A, Rags H, Arsenal H

We'll have a game in hand and can hopefully soak up some sun winning the club world cup whilst we watch Liverpool and Arsenal smash the fuck out of each other in a 5-5 draw with suspensions and injuries galore.

Well that was fun.
Congratulations Arsenal and your oh so likeable manager.

We just need to be within three points either way
Then when KDB and Stones ( both 2 of our best 5 players) come back step on the gas
The new players will have bedded in and we should then retain what’s ours

Plus a 22 man brawl, followed by a pitch invasion which sees Klopp and Arteta both subsequently charged with attempted murder and Liverpool ordered to play their remaining home fixtures at Prenton Park

I don’t understand. You say others are looser on the ball than Phil and then you quote a stat showing he gets dispossessed more often than them.

I certainly don’t believe that Pep treats Phil any differently than big money signings. The fact is that Pep doesn’t have to tread on eggshells with anyone. If a player “kicks up a fuss” he’s gone.
As I said, .09 times more per 90 with a sample size of 1 1/3 season is hardly negligible. If at all.

Totally agree although trying not to get too carried away with either coming back as they could break down at any time.

You're right though, keep them fit and we'll blow them all away.
