The rest of the pack must be shitting themselves. Kovacic and Gvardiol are ballers. Doku brings us something different and direct. Nunes looks like another great ball carrier. With Stones, KDB and Pep himself to return as well, we are in great shape already and will only improve. The pressure is on the dippers and the tarquins already and it’s not even the international break!
Yep, for that match tomorrow afternoon, ideally both teams lose ;-)

Look guys, we're on a City forum so you're obviously going to see things in a certain way. Although I really have to draw the line at Gareth Barry! Next someone's going to say Aguero was better than Thierry Henry!

Regardless, the main gist of what I'm trying to say is that the competition in the PL has gotten much stronger. City last season are better than City in 2012. And to win the title is more difficult - you had City win 11 in a row last season so you can say bottle all you want but does than not denigrate City's achievement of banging out all those wins in a row? Particularly when the supposed weaker teams in the PL are much stronger than ever before
But you were how ever many points clear. It wouldn't have mattered how many games we won in a row if you kept winning too. But you didn't, you threw away a 2 goal lead at Anfield, a 2 goal lead against West Ham, and couldn't beat bottom of the league Southampton at home, conceding 3 goals in the process. You fucking bottled it big time. I don't understand why you can't see that.

Not winning 11 in a row is bottling it? We still won a decent number of games at the end of the season, including a win at Newcastle. Sure we lost some games and let leads slip. But using your logic if City hadn't won 11 in a row Arsenal would have win the league so it was as much City going beast mode as it was Arsenal bottling it. A bit of both basically.

At the end of this transfer window I see football being in a really odd place. I say odd, we’ve ended up at the top of the pile. Between the Saudi league and Chelsea spunking 1 and 1/4 BILLION on a zillion players it seems the footballing world has gone mad. Yet the narrative will persist that you can do anything with money when it comes to any City discussion. Crazy season incoming. Villa for the top 4?
