How many points will be needed to win the league?

If we’re not going off the last 2 games, I’d suggest that we’re actually the form team. Over the last 6 games we have only dropped 2 points compared to both Liverpool and Arsenal who have dropped 3. Furthermore, since our last loss on 6 Dec, a total of 10 games, we’ve only dropped 4 points and lost none. In that period, Liverpool have dropped 7, Arsenal have dropped 11.

I’m not saying we are favourites, just that we have the form and have the mentality to continue that run. And we all know that this is a period where Pep tries to do the bare minimum in order to give us maximum benefit for the run-in.

Have Liverpool and Arsenal got the balls to go all the way, I remain to be convinced.

So we agree then. Apart from the form bit,

Since Villa in early December (the absolute low-point after the 3 draws Chelsea, Liverpool & Spurs we should have won) we've all played 10 games and are +3 points on Liverpool and +6 on Arsenal. Not surprising because we are are on 2.6 ppg pace which is 99 points over a full season .

Add in to the mix 6 other wins in the same period - 2 Champions league, 2 Club World Cup and 2 FA Cup.

And this is all despite wrong teams and set-ups - Pep getting it wrong, shit Alvarez, shit Walker, shit Nunes, underperforming Norwegian lampost, foden often not central, Dias not at his best, not beaten anyone in the top 5, Doku no end product, conceding with first attempt too often, easily countered, no subs, we're shit at corners, not killing games, playing too slow blah blah blah.

The relentless negativity around me (CB L3) at the last 3 home games is fucking horrible.

Yet here we are again. Sure, in terms of performance we are not reaching the highs of previous seasons, Yet. And maybe we don't reach those highs and still win it all. Or some. We'll soon find out and I'm excited about that.

It’s all about March.
Yep, if we can get our best line up available for all the key games we should be able to win them all

Ederson

Walker Stones Dias Ake

Rodri

KDB Bernardo

Foden Haaland Grealish

That’s the best team in the league by far imoh

winning in Copenhagen with this team has given us the opportunity to rotate for the second leg

we win all our games in March , we win the league

They won't sit back. All teams play their best game, and theirs isn't sitting back. That's also the positive for us - although we have a lot of the bigger teams to play, they won't be parking the bus - which helps us.
Apart from United of course, who'll counter-attack us to death.
Scum.

Aresanl at home was so cautious they didn't go all out attack us we on the other hand will at home

I think so too. Can’t see us slipping up from there if we win all those games (plus Bournemouth).

Posters keep saying they can’t see us doing it this season because of our form, but folk were saying exactly the same this time last year, after we drew with Forest, and see how that ended up.

History surely teaches us that this group of players delivers when it needs to. Maybe this year they won’t, but to discount what we’ve done in previous seasons with Pep at the helm is just daft.

It’s actually insane how some posters seem to forget patterns in previous seasons. It must be some sort of ridiculous coping mechanism.

The point about getting our best lineup on the pitch. Do you think Pep is going to drop Alvarez all of a sudden given that he's played more minutes than any outfield player in the league for us this season?
