The point about getting our best lineup on the pitch. Do you think Pep is going to drop Alvarez all of a sudden given that he's played more minutes than any outfield player in the league for us this season?
If he thinks he can rely on KDB s fitness ,then yes.

That Copenhagen team is our best line up! we just need to get that team 100% fit for the last 10 games

Yes, Pep will drop Alvarez, at least at Anfield. But Pep won't likely drop Akanji who is underrated by our fanbase.

Also, can see Pep playing Foden on the left, Bernardo on the right and Kovacic next to Rodri. Grealish should get fit, Pep isn't happy with his condition, judging by his words the other day.

matches and mini-league for current top-6 ; i've included United as I think they'll have a part to play in the results of City, Arsenal and Liverpool.

Interestingly both City and Liverpool only on 1 point per game.

drop United from that and City have 2 pts, and Aston Villa are top with 9.

I think so too. Can’t see us slipping up from there if we win all those games (plus Bournemouth).

Posters keep saying they can’t see us doing it this season because of our form, but folk were saying exactly the same this time last year, after we drew with Forest, and see how that ended up.

History surely teaches us that this group of players delivers when it needs to. Maybe this year they won’t, but to discount what we’ve done in previous seasons with Pep at the helm is just daft.

It’s actually insane how some posters seem to forget patterns in previous seasons. It must be some sort of ridiculous coping mechanism.
Spot on, my old man is very doubtful of our team everytime we go into these crunch games at the end of the season

I just look at him and say , how many times has this team let us down when we’ve needed the win? - I can’t think of any going into the business end of the season in the league

I think the Grealish comments from Pep is mind games to get his head back in the game for the run in

If we had a better record we would be well clear at the top

Since Villa in early December (the absolute low-point after the 3 draws Chelsea, Liverpool & Spurs we should have won) we've all played 10 games and are +3 points on Liverpool and +6 on Arsenal. Not surprising because we are are on 2.6 ppg pace which is 99 points over a full season .

Add in to the mix 6 other wins in the same period - 2 Champions league, 2 Club World Cup and 2 FA Cup.

And this is all despite wrong teams and set-ups - Pep getting it wrong, shit Alvarez, shit Walker, shit Nunes, underperforming Norwegian lampost, foden often not central, Dias not at his best, not beaten anyone in the top 5, Doku no end product, conceding with first attempt too often, easily countered, no subs, we're shit at corners, not killing games, playing too slow blah blah blah.

The relentless negativity around me (CB L3) at the last 3 home games is fucking horrible.

Yet here we are again. Sure, in terms of performance we are not reaching the highs of previous seasons, Yet. And maybe we don't reach those highs and still win it all. Or some. We'll soon find out and I'm excited about that.

Banter timeline is that we win the league and one of the cups with people on this forum adamant at every single matchday that we are have been terrible.

Only time I remember that happening was at Anfield in 2014 (pre Pep and the mentality he instills in the team). And that one turned out ok in the end.

Out title could depend on how serious this niggle is with Kev's hamstring. Hopefully its just post workout fatigue.

You have to say we've been so unlucky with injuries this season but somehow were still in the mix. Says a lot about how brilliant this team is.
