That is pretty scary if you are a Chelsea fan.
That is pretty scary if you are a Chelsea fan.
Back in the day the first table that was really taken seriously was after 10 games were completed. Not always clear who will come out on top but gives a reasonable indication of who is likely to contend. Unless we have a disastrous month I expect us to be right up there. A position which we also should be in come May when it matters most.I would say Liverpool have had harder games than us so far and are only 2pts back. The next 4 will give us a better picture both on how strong we are and how much we're going to get pushed by the rest. I still feel Liverpool are our biggest rivals this season. They've had a good start.
Next 4:
Liverpool - Spurs A, Brighton A, Everton H, Forest H
Arsenal - Bournemouth A, City H, Chelsea A, Sheffield United H
City - Wolves A, Arsenal A, Brighton H, Rags A
That will be 10 games done and we'll have had some tough ones in there which give us a better steer of where we, and the opposition are.
idn't even print a table till after three...nowadays because of fkin sky...every games a title decider...what b llocksBack in the day the first table that was really taken seriously was after 10 games were completed. March used to be the baseline on Grandstand an on the ball...didn't start talking champions till at least thenWay to many games to play and lots of things that can happen between now and May. If we are in contention around February then we can count ourselves into a title race.
But don’t you know…apparently they’ve turned a corner after the Cup win. That is pretty scary if you are a Chelsea fan.
we lose two and Liverpool win two = L'pool 4 points clear and just in October - not the end of the world at all...and could happenImportant next 2 games. Wolves away is a tricky little fixture to get through and then avoiding defeat at the emirates leaves us at least 4 points ahead of Arsenal and in the meantime Liverpool play Spurs & Brighton away in their next 2 games. I think we’ll know a lot more in 2 weeks… Big 2 points dropped for Arsenal but we shouldn’t underestimate the momentum they’d get from beating us.
Wrapped up by FEBRUARY!!!!It’ll be close to wrapped up by then - whilst appreciating the desire to talk up ‘typical city’ and not get complacent, nobody is getting within 15 points this season.
