fixture to fixture we must be quite under last years run which is a bit alarming.
Pool home, Chelsea away, Spurs home were all wins last season, same as Wolves away and Arse away. thats 15 points vs 3 this season.
4x of these games we were in the lead and couldnt win any. seeing out games is a serious issue so far this season.

quite shit to see Arsenal and Pool winning last minutes while we keep throwing away crucial leads in last 5-10 mins.

clean sheets look impossible for us now for whatever reason.
Good point this. Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and now Spurs, 4 games we’ve conceded crucial late goals.
Liverpool and Arsenal are the opposite, they’re scoring em.
Need to up our concentration levels late on in games and get some cohesion back.

We have drew three games and every one of them we should have won , we lost at Wolves a game we should have won , we were the better team in every game and created more chances than the opposition it isnt even debatable. The media can twist the narrative all they want we know how good our players, team and manager are , the only even game was the Goon game whcih should have ended in a draw there was very little between the teams.
Our fortunes will turn , we will cut out the silly mistakes and we will begin to punish teams its inevitable because we have the best manager in the world , we will be pissed off at the moment losing points to poor teams but lets see who is laughing in May/June next year.
good summary mate,i hope you' re right.

You're being paranoid.
Apart from today, the points dropped against Chelsea, arsenal and liverpool are all down to us.
we got a soft enough penalty against the rags
I agree but that wasn't a 'soft' penalty. It was blatant.

Squad too small, poor Rodri getting flogged having no real support. Defence all at sea and missing far too many chances up front. Lets have a good CL and FA Cup run, feel the league is beyond us this season.

I think it's too early to go full doom and gloom mode, but I'm definitely worried. We're missing our playing style and vision. We're all over the place.

All fair points but much is predicated on our squad returning to full strength, and even then we are still carrying personnel who should not be here. No matter how good Guardiola is, if he only has half the deck to play with, he can't be expected to conjure the same magic.

So hard to tell where we are at the moment.

The good signs are we are putting good halves together and if we a touch more clinical and touch better in defence then we'd be +4 points, and 3 points is fuck all at this stage. I don't think we are playing terribly, and if Pep can find the right tweak here then we potentially look good for the run-in. Liverpool and Arsenal are yet to play each other, so we could be right among it with some tricky games ticked off before we head off the world cup. And obviously the best sign is we have the best player in the world and the most critical player in our system to return.

The bad signs are we currently can't kill a game, our defence looks vulnerable, and our midfield looks easily bypassed. You look at the bench and apart from Grealish/Doku there's barely a player you'd look to bring onto change the tempo or result of a game. Our previous seasons have been won on having the best "big six" mini table: we have got to go to Spurs and Liverpool away in the second half of the season as well, so we will likely need to buck one of our poor away streaks at either or both places.

Still, once we have cleared Villa we have a kindish set of fixtures into the new year. One big away win on Wednesday and things will already start to feel better.

Won’t win it this year I’m afraid. Gooners look like they have the missing piece from last year.

Possibly, but the Arse look quite similar to how they did last season for me. We just need to hang in there and resolve our shortcomings, of which there are a few.

We are paying for a couple of poor signings , Phillips and Nunes will never be the quality we require , Kovacic is also a player for the bench , Doku has been a superb buy , but we havent filled the hole left by Gundo , sometimes you never realise how good a player is until he has gone, because Gundo was world class for us. KDB's injury has also had a big influence on results , Stones being made of glass is now becoming an issue , if we can keep injuries to a minimum we can win another title but our squad in forward areas is not big enough , we need to sign a player in January who can step straight into the team another holding midfield player and another player who will chip in 10-15 goals a season would be ideal and get rid of Phillips to the highest bidder.

We'll be there or thereabouts come the end of the season, my only worry is our squishy centre. Get it sorted City.
Gooners need a striker ( they sign Toney in Jan) then we have problems
We are 3 points behind having played Chelsea Liverpool and Spurs
Beat Villa Palace and Luton the league will look very different
Then add in Stones and KDB and we are still the team to beat
We have 2 of our best 5 players injured one of which is in the top 5 players in the world
We have topped the Champions League group and are within 3 points in the league
KDB will drag us over the line he is that good
