Sort of wish spurs were in the title equation because if we don't win it I'd prefer it to be then over Liverpool or arsenal.

When you say struggling, what you're really trying to say is 1 point off the top?
Three points now.
We are absolutely miles away from winning the league this season.
We’re not taking our chances and we’re all over the place defensively.
Between Arsenal and the dippers for me.
We will get beat against Villa, we might get a point at Luton.
Arsenal will increase their lead this week.

We are having a bit of a blip right now. Tough run of games too. Not clinical enough up front and defence strangely out of form. We will come good and be in the mix for the Premier League. Come on City!

Did a check compared to last season, fixture to fixture, with Leicester=Burnley, Leeds= Sheff U , Soton= Luton

unless I am mistaken we are 9 points worse off which doesnt bode well as most of these coming from close rivals.

only fixture we actually improved on was the old toilet derby we lost last season and won this season.

otherwise we won the same games except :
Wolves away (was win, now a loss)
Arse away (was a win, now a loss)
Chelsea away + Pool home + Spurs home (all were wins now all draws, we had the lead in all t be even more frustrating)

so overall + 3 points vs rags away and -12 points on above 5 fixtures, total of minus 9 points.

next 3 games:
Villa away (was a draw)
Luton away (Soton, was a win)
Palace home (was a win)

we really need to go to places like Anfield, Spurs away and get a win finally to turn this back on somehow. (and do Brentford home and away)

we may not need exact same points as last season to win the title, but imo will be very close to that and last season we didnt have to deal with Liverpool as they had horrible season.

Think it’s foolish to expect us to rattle off 12+ in a row after the new year just because we’ve done so in the past. Awful defensively, overrun in the midfield, and wasteful up front. Pining hopes on an old KDB and Stones who has proven he can’t play more than a few games in a row is unwise.

I stand by my statement of a few months back that nobody will end up within 10 points of City. For all the disappointment of the last 3 games, it’s still 3 unbeaten against ‘top’ clubs.

Liverpool will end up closest but they’re also abysmal defensively and made unbelievably hard work if it against Fulham…..they’ll drop a tonne of points over the next 2 months along with Arsenal.
The comments after todays game are mental.

It was a great game of football, unluckily for us our efforts hit the woodwork whereas theirs went in.

Should've been clear but we weren't.

Some odd decisions which are not down to luck, was it first yellow went to Rodri?

Spuds kicking ball away for that free kick first half, that is automatic yellow, not given.

Spuds player feigning injury hoping we kick it out, jumps up when we are in their box and promptly goes down when a corner given.

Haaland did tremendous to ride a foul, stay up and play Jack through and then it was pulled back, terrible refereeing.
How many times were Spuds and us adjudged to be offside but allowed to play on until the move fizzled out. The one time it might have mattered and the Ref stops the game!
Don't forget, a similar thing happened against the Dippers late on last week where we were denied a breakaway!

There has been a lot of iffy decisions in these games we have dropped points in but, we are still only 3 of the top.

To put it into perspective, if Arse hadn't got lucky with that shitty deflected goal against us and the game finished 0 - 0 we would be top tonight.

Playing shit and only 3
Off top after a hard run of games missing pivotal players.

We’ll be there but we need stones especially to be available.

Concerning that he's been on the bench the last few games and yet we haven't seen him.

Hopefully he's fit to play 6 or 7 games over the next month.

Concerning we have had two home games against rivals and not taken advantage. We now have to go two places where we regularly get fuck all desperate for points.

Still a long way to go. We may have failed to get wins over Liverpool, Tottenham and Arsenal but we have to play them all again in the 2nd half and if we beat them all. We could retain our title.

Yeah it's disappointing we dropped 4pts from being in winning positions near the end of the game.

We might not be desperate. We're 3 points off the top, with the best goal difference, having been sloppy but unlucky in a handful of games.

Despite results, we've also been the better team against every one of our rivals so far. We're 2 pts back from this stage last season, and frankly no-one has looked like running away with it. Last season Arsenal were heading for 100 points at the half way stage of the season, but no-one is anywhere near that kind of form, or looking like they have it in them.

Think it’s between Arsenal and Dippers.
Arsenal look strong at both ends, and have improved their squad depth.
Dippers seem to be getting all the officiating help and have goal scorers throughout the team.
We lack the squad quality/depth this season and have seriously regressed from last season. Transfers have been poor, Pep losing his assistants each year clearly not helping and we just cannot defend anymore despite adding Gvardiol to last seasons squad in place of Laporte. We just do not have enough goal scorers in the team and are incredibly weak in midfield with no cover for Rodri.
3rd is where I think we will finish
We have more than enough goal scorers in our team. We’ve scored more goals than the dippers. We have 8 players who’ve contributed more than one league goal, they have six.

The only thing wrong with us at the moment is that in 3 games against reasonably strong opposition we’ve run out of steam near the end and conceded late equalisers. We all know that the conditioning work we do is designed to see us peak at the business end of the season - we won’t be conceding late goals in games that really matter in the run in as we’ll be in tip top condition just when our rivals are starting to flag.

We have drew three games and every one of them we should have won , we lost at Wolves a game we should have won , we were the better team in every game and created more chances than the opposition it isnt even debatable. The media can twist the narrative all they want we know how good our players, team and manager are , the only even game was the Goon game whcih should have ended in a draw there was very little between the teams.
Our fortunes will turn , we will cut out the silly mistakes and we will begin to punish teams its inevitable because we have the best manager in the world , we will be pissed off at the moment losing points to poor teams but lets see who is laughing in May/June next year.
