I think City's team has run its course and we need a rebuild!

Top 4 chase this season, we will be at least 10 points off the title winners and honestly cant see past Arsenal and Dippers for top 2.
Our squad is too shallow, zero quality in depth, no Kev till late Jan or Feb, a out of form Haaland, and Phil, Jack and Bernie not stepping up and having average seasons.
Add to that Peps baffling tactics which clearly are not working then i just cannot see s anywhere near the title and think its going to be a battle for top 4 this season.
Even Rags are only 3 behind us now

Penny pinching needs to stop. Buy some top quality players.

It’s been an unreal few years so don’t want to sound ungrateful. This season we ain’t good enough.

The club will find a way to fix it I am sure but until then we gotta grin and bear it.

Good post but if we get shafted with the charges my worry is this maybe the start of the end of an era. We’ve been so poor in the transfer window and we’ve declined badly on the field. Todays performance was so shockingly bad I am literally stunned at what is happening.

We’ve got three winnable games upcoming, if we win all three we’ll gain some points on the others as they all play each other. Far too early to be saying we won’t challenge this season, we’ve been in much worst states than this.

Today we were poor, but we had too many problems plus the players weren't fresh after Spurs and couldn't properly press. Without a functioning high press we are a bit ordinary in defence. And without Rodri the structure in our play isn't there. Haaland should have buried one of those chances, though. No doubt he will improve.

We were unlucky vs Liverpool and especially Spurs. Wolves, Arsenal and Villa needed deflected goals to beat us, even though we deserved to lose today.

Imo, if we don't go through another injury crisis, we are going to win the league by 1-2 pts or on GD. We are still the best team with all players available, probably even without KDB. The potential of this team is absolutely incredible.

Starting to look like it’s gonna be a very tough season, and that we got our summer transfer window all wrong.

Nunes and Kovacic don’t look like they’re bringing much to the table, Gvardiol hasn’t impressed at left back.

Alvarez shouldn’t be starting every game he ruins the balance of the team, I also don’t rate his input from general play, apart from his goal scoring (pretty silly thing to say I suppose)

Rico Lewis, I’m sorry but I don’t see the fuss with this lad. Yes he’s a good prospect but what exactly is he? Started out as a full back but can’t defend, now playing in a midfield role but doesn’t create much or control play. Buzzes about a lot and presses well at times but that’s about it

I can only react to what I see. I stand by my assertion. It’s all down to recruitment.

Sure we can defy the odds and go on a run but if Kev don’t come back or gets injured again or if Rodri gets suspended again we end up in the same situation.

Only Doku and maybe gvardiol can be deemed ok to good signings recently. The rest look like mid table team players. Pep can’t turn his magic on every player.

Buy him some top quality.
