I know, but if they’d drop points today they would still want to hang on to the Europa place and stay ahead of Newcastle, chelsea and united and I ‘d expect them to play with the same effort. Anyway we are better than them and should beat them whatever their motivations.

I think you missed the context. And my general position on this.

I have been backing us to beat Spurs for weeks, and GD not to matter. My response was to the hypothetical someone else raised. It is all good blue, we all want the same thing, and we are not so different you and I.

Against managers that knew how to set up a deep defence and break, Postegoglou, doesn’t know either how to do it,nor will he have time to drill them in that between now an Tuesday, after playing a high line all year. My biggest concern if we get lead and they then make the game chaotic. Need to make sure we keep control, could be a good game for Grealish as well as Kovacic.

and I just looked and saw that if we draw at Spurs and beat WHU and they win both its down to GD.

Yeah but they would be a minimum of 3 better so wouldn’t be ideal. Personally I think they will beat United easily and be 4/5 goals better which isn’t going to be clawed back.

We need to just focus on winning which is what I think we are doing. We hardly went for it today making all those Subs. Tuesday in mind was more important. Pep has complete faith in these players.

I wouldnt bring him in. We have controlled the games recently well without him. Dont make changes now unless injury forced.

Spurs 5 subs made today shows confused thinking from their manager. He doesn’t know his best team and that has to be to our advantage.

They are a bogey side for us though which is my only concern.
