How many points to win the league?

If we can't win it can Chelsea?

The only downside to that would be the Palmer fangirls telling all summer we shouldn't have sold him.

I approve of this message but honestly I don’t think we have it in us to be consistent enough to overhaul a 9 point gap. For us the aim is still securing top 4.

Honestly we've gone to Anfield before with much better teams and lost.

So don't panic yet.. but I do think we'll have a fight for top 4 this season if we manage to go on a run and get our midfield sorted with the january transfers.

If we do nothing.. while we're not in any danger of making history of being the only league winners to be relegated the following season TWICE just yet.. but we might start pushing that trivia a little too close for comfort.

We need to bed in a new midfield that can press and has some control!

Atleast Pep is starting to believe:

The Liverpool players didn't act or celebrate as if this was the rivalry of years past. There seemed to be an air of expectancy in beating this City side, almost coinciding with a level of respect and acknowledgment that, after years of rivalry, this was not the same team. Winning a league means what it does, but it's always better to be the best when you beat the best. If you beat Mike Tyson when he's aged, there's a respect that needs to be given.

Liverpool had an air about them after the match that was not the arrogance of previous seasons, which perhaps shows that there isn’t the same level of competition or rivalry. Also, it was Arsenal who took their place and lost. Now it's Liverpool's time, but it isn’t in the same vein as seasons before. That level of respect comes from seasons of rivalry, whereas Arsenal doesn’t seem to have that level of respect for a title race, yet.

I never thought I'd say this, but it's almost as though if someone other than City wins it, Liverpool can at least respect what that means after years of being second.

It also comes from not having that wanker Klopp as the manager.
