I'd gladly take this over Scousers or Tarquins winnin it.If we can't win it can Chelsea?
The only downside to that would be the Palmer fangirls telling all summer we shouldn't have sold him.

After that, if you didn't want that dog to win but you acknowledged and respected talent then you'd shut the fuck up. But if you were a fucking idiot you'd shout 'this dogs shit' before going home to fuck your own sister in the inbred town you grew up in.City were a greyhound that kept on winning but needed a rest. Instead it was made to run one last race that it won. Now it needs to rest before being replaced by a new dog. It can't win the next race but we knew this before we ran it beyond what it should be capable of. It won 4 times. In a row, at a sacrifice for next race. So it was worth it because you'd always sacrifice not winning if it guaranteed you the wins that came before it.
They've got rid of that prick Klopp and seem to have a decent bloke in charge. Let's see if it changes. The Liverpool players didn't act or celebrate as if this was the rivalry of years past. There seemed to be an air of expectancy in beating this City side, almost coinciding with a level of respect and acknowledgment that, after years of rivalry, this was not the same team. Winning a league means what it does, but it's always better to be the best when you beat the best. If you beat Mike Tyson when he's aged, there's a respect that needs to be given.
Liverpool had an air about them after the match that was not the arrogance of previous seasons, which perhaps shows that there isn’t the same level of competition or rivalry. Also, it was Arsenal who took their place and lost. Now it's Liverpool's time, but it isn’t in the same vein as seasons before. That level of respect comes from seasons of rivalry, whereas Arsenal doesn’t seem to have that level of respect for a title race, yet.
I never thought I'd say this, but it's almost as though if someone other than City wins it, Liverpool can at least respect what that means after years of being second.
City are too far behind. Not saying Liverpool will win the league but without every player got and firing we won't. Not giving up but the maths are too much.Guys a few weeks ago we (Arsenal) were 5 points behind City. Since then we've gained 7 points on you because you've had a blip.
There's no reason Dippers also won't have a blip - this isn't a vintage Liverpool team that's formidable. They'll go on a poor run at some stage.
10th May 2025. Liverpool v Arsenal. From a City perspective if you can go on a run (and you have a decent fixture list from Feb onwards) that game may be the one that lets City into the hen house.
City weren't brilliant today but also you lost to 2 stupid defensive lapses that teams out of form tend to give away. We were absolute dogshit a few weeks back and giving away those kinds of goals, now we look back to ourselves. I'm not sure why City wouldn't do the same and there were moments in the 2nd half today where I thought City showed glimpses of, well, City. 2 teams putting pressure on the Dippers and they'll crack. They always do.
'We don't let this slip'......
I get that but you play them at the Etihad and by then should be in form and can win that. We'll inevitably stink out Anfield and gain a brutal draw. So that's 5 points that can be clawed back and your run in is really nice. It's usually in my interest that City go on a bad run but not this season, there's a bigger picture and when Liverpool get involved in a 3 way battle (maybe 4 way with Chelsea as Dippers still have to go there) then they are a couple of bad results away from losing their mojo, just like last season when they supposedly had the title in their hands with an 'easy' run in but shit their pants.City are too far behind. Today was not a good result for Arsenal to be honest. I agree that it isn't over though for any of the contenders. I was at the game today and we didn't create a chance of note. That is why I am not bullish.I get that but you play them at the Etihad and by then should be in form and can win that. We'll inevitably stink out Anfield and gain a brutal draw.
