A lesson
You can't win titles without a great defense. Our defense doesn't exist. Teams are no longer afraid of us, they understand that if they just try, they can score quite easily. Anything can happen in football but I would be very, very surprised if we were in the title race until the end. It looks more like a race for top 4.
Arsenal were playing like dogshit for the past 6 weeks but seem to have turned the corner and the last 2 performances have been on par with our performances in the run in last season. Why wouldn't City do the same?
And if we draw?I’m not holding my breath. But if we can some how win at Anfield tomorrow, I know, we blow the title race wide open, and that might start a winning run? Lose and the title race is definitely over.
Would you like to see 1 more added as well as Echeverri?Well I hope it does improve otherwise this season is going to be remarkable for all the wrong reasons. I know the players have exerted a lot over the seasons, that's not in dispute, but this fall away in performance is quite stark. We have to find a way with the players we have available, with hopefully an addition in Jan to bolster us. I think after Sunday the picture will be a little clearer one way or the other.
What the actual fuck? This is spot on. The transition should have started in the Summer and be ongoing - but it didnt because we have a Director of Football seeing out the final months of his contract , a manager suffering some kind of breakdown, and our board trying to ensure the whole club doesn’t go up in flames at the 115 tribunal.
We are the left with the absolute mess we are in which is gonna get a whole lot worse in the next few weeks.
A defensive or central type midfielder would be a real asset if they could hit the ground running and obviously squad size permitting.Would you like to see 1 more added as well as Echeverri?
Misery loves company. What the actual fuck?
Here is what to do. Write a list of old players we have kept too long. Write a list of players in their absolute prime. Write a list of young players we have.I have no problem with a transition season as long as we can see some kind of transition happening. I just see older players we’ve kept for too long and no forward planning regarding youth coming in to the team.
And gross exaggeration too.Misery loves company.

Then look at it and it will become clear how wrong you are.
There are a few older players, sure. But bloody hell that's a blinkered take, when we have the likes of foden, haaland, doku, savinho, gvardiol, etc as our recent signings.
Ederson, Kovacic, Bernardo and Grealish are not old. They are in their prime. A couple aren't playing that way, but that's the age players excel at in those positions.Old players
Ederson
Walker
Stones
Gundogan
Kovačić
Bernardo
DeBruyne
Grealish
I don’t see Rico playing today. I’d be shocked to see him start at least from right back.If pep insists on keeping that high line today against the dippers it will be over by halftime.
I fear for rico today if he plays the poor lad is trying his best but is being highlighted playing in that position.
Big earl has to take one of his chances today to put some doubt in the dippers defence especially without konate.
I’d take a shithouse tarquin type performance as a one off today if we could leave with something.
Title race is wide open, I think. And if we draw?
