we need to get in at least for the revenue. even this botched job we did in CL not even getting to last 16 earned us over 65m pounds or around. thats basically for failing big in this season.
having said that if we get a bit harder draw next year instead of the likes of Slovan Bratislava, Brugge, Feyenoord, Prague etc,
and we dont improve the squad and tactics significantly it will be another painful experience and another playoff tie as to finish top8 you need to deliver in the league stage games.
for same reasons its also crucial for the likes of Villa and Newcastle who have hit the glass ceiling in terms of revenues they need the CL revenue to be able to step up and Villa already possibly failing either PSR or Uefa FFP or both as it is.
both of them need CL revenue or scale back which would mean selling Isak or Guimaraes for example, good luck with CL places next season in that case.
Chelsea same really, albeit they doing OK with the intra-group magic trick sales. they havent been in CL last season or this season. next season would be three in a row, at what point Palmer, Enzo, Caicedo starts asking questions? r their agents?
Forest well thats an odd one, they never expected to be this high up with 6-7 games to go, but could be once in a life chance now for them to taste CL football. can they build on it if they do it? I doubt it. they will drop back to mid table next season most likely especially if they have CL or EL for added fixture list. fucking hell Chris Wood wont carry them through another season lol.
