Spurs and Rags will play the reserves with Europa league final 4/5 days later. Write those fixtures off. We need 4 points. Yesterdays result is infuriatingly shitter by the minute.

Not so many, but still one or two…
The last time I wet the bed was walking out of the Etihad in 2012. We'd just drawn 3-3 with a shite Sunderland team, at the business end of the season. We were 3-1 down with 5 mins left but clawed it back to get a point.

Without that ONE point, the Aguero moment doesn't happen, the 34 years ticker doesn't come down, we don't get to see Fergie in meltdown, we'd never see the Mackems doing the Posnan and the rags win the league.

Never wet the bed since, although I had a bit of a dribble when Pep didn't play Rodders in Porto ;)

Villa have only lost once recently (against us) and have Spurs at home who haven’t won in 5 (lost 4). Forest are now only relevant as to whether they take points from Chelsea on the final day. Chelsea have united at home- without a win in 6.

Based on the awful teams they play Villa will get 69 points. Chelsea will probably do the same.

In truth if we finish behind what is an awful Chelsea side we would deserve all the humiliation that entails.

Assuming every game goes perfectly to form is the reason people have continuously been re-adjusting down how many points we need. That's not how this league works - people drop points unexpectedly every single week.

Also, if your scenario comes out perfectly like that, then Arsenal might need to be more worried than us.

Arsenal dropping points is interesting. It means they're in the race for top 5 especially if Newcastle beat them/draw. They'd have to beat Southampton and we've just seen it can be tricky..

Maybe leave the predicting then and wait for all the results to come in before we play Bournemouth.
He is the prophet of doom after all. It is his job to spread the gospel of total collapse and the worst possible scenarios

The spurs game is almost 2 weeks before the final..
Spurs play Friday then the final is the following Wednesday.

Not sure they will rest a loaf of players seeing as they pushed for their game to be moved to the friay night.
Surely can't do that then rest players anyway

Southampton are utter trash. Arsenal will hammer them at home.

It was tricky because we played like a league 1 team yesterday.

Thought the final was after the end of the season, fair enough. We’ll be okay anyway.

Assuming Villa win both their games v Spurs and Rags... and assuming Newcastle win both their games v Arsenal and Everton, it all hinges on the Forest v Chelsea match

If Forest win.... then 3 points will guarantee top 5

If its a draw... then 2 points will guarantee top 5.... unless Chelsea beat the Rags by 5 or more goals, in which case we'll need 3 points

If Chelsea win... then 4 points will be required

Of course if Villa and/or Newcastle drop points we might need less

Absolutely. Their game with the barcodes is now a battle for second place. Win and they are almost guaranteed second, lose and they could easily finish fourth.
