Can I be the only one who is hoping that we qualify for the Europa League as the final is in .....

The 3% chance of results going against us seems very low but is correct based on the current odds for each of the games.
Maybe as City fans we feel scarred by results going against us in the final day Stoke away relegation.

Newcastle to beat Everton: 70% chance
Villa to beat Man Utd: 55% chance
Chelsea to beat Forest: 45% chance
Fulham to beat City: 18% chance

All 4 need to happen so 0.7 x 0.55 x 0.45 x 0.18 = 3.1%

But I think a pessimistic City fan could legitimately assign different odds to above outcomes:

Newcastle: 90%, Villa 70%, Chelsea 60% , Fulham 40%
This gives a 15% chance of City missing out - which is why I am taking the 25/1 current odds on offer as both a financial and emotional hedge to a final day meltdown - which would seemingly be in keeping with much of the way the season has panned out.

I came up with an elaborate acca yesterday that I was convinced was going to hedge the chance of city missing out.

However. I had city to draw or lose last night so my bet failed at the first hurdle.

They’ve run out of things to sell to themselves surely.
 
Sort of on topic but as there are 6 premier league clubs in the champions league, each club will earn quite a lot less from being in it than thisnyear when there were 4 in it.

It might be toxic yea. Feel like the rags have to bust their balls to get something out of the game though. Fans wouldn't have given a fuck if they'd won last night but they will be expectant now (I think)

That said I saw Luke shaws interview last night post match and it was like he was at a funeral. Looked like he knows he they're gonna get slaughtered. It actually felt a bit uncomfortable

I’m still on the car park in a bus at the Ataturk stadium trying to get back home. It’s a no from me, champions league final is In Budapest in 2026 that’s the destination I want.
