The Torino - Man City link....

There is none.

Just because a couple of fans make a flag doesn't mean anything.

No more than we have a link with Wigan.

Not entirely correct. In 1992 we had a pre season tour of Italy and one of the games was Torino. prior to the tour, Torino fans sent a load of info on their club, lots of photographs, a load of common phrases (including chants against Juve)..

We had a coach from the Chadderton Arms and met up with some of their fans; if there was no official link, there was certainly an unofficial link.

That happens with most clubs we play in Europe on some scale or other.

Plus they have a history of wanting United to win in the 90s against Juve.

No I was in Spain. But I have a Juve pen pall from shoot in the 1980's, he sent me posters and stuff.

Therefore we had a link with Juve first before your pen pell sent you Torino stuff.

Tricky one for me, as one of our branch members (he comes to support City when in England) is a Juve fan.

30 or 40 torino fans are coming ? what end are they going in then ? they won't get tickets in the city end... and surely they won't want to sit with the juve fans...

i think if some blues on here are in touch with renato and the torino supporters branch and are planning a drink pre-match or post-match that's a great idea, but if they want city fans to go into the ground and wave torino flags and all wear torino shirts i would say if it goes off don't count on any support from the police !

if we are like torino, then juve are like united ? but i wouldn't expect the juve fans to all turn up to coms next week singing about united. and let's face it we'd all be pretty peed off if they did...

There is a "connection" between the two clubs, I can vouch for that. The only Italians who have acknowledge my City cap around the Italian Alps and Bars have been Torino fans. Never once has a Juve fan taken me on.
I certainly will never buy anything Juve related.

Cant stand Juve, cheating bastards. Not big on Italian football these days, use to be when I was a kid watching football italia,

Half of my "new" family are Toro, the others are Juve or Milan.

To be honest I can't stand Juve and the way their fans talk reminds me to much of the rags.
I have a soft spot for Toro as their fans have had al lot of success years gone by but are sticking with them through the tough times.

Milan are my "Italian" team as I was teaching and living with a couple of players when I arrived in Italy a few years back.
But still I'd prefer to watch the city academy than the championship here.
