Tottenham Hotspur's U21s won the Premier League Elite Group tonight after Manchester United lost to Wolves 1-0.

Spurs will face the winners of Tiers 1 (Everton) or 2 (probably Reading) in the Play-Off Semi-Final.

The other Semi-Final is between the clubs finishing 2nd & 3rd in the Elite Group.

So United vs Liverpool probably.

Our youth team is easily the best going off results and goal difference, still worried we'll bottle it in the final though Spurs style haha.

At least we'll have a stream for the final though considering that United and Liverpool both stream their youth games, I'm not sure if it's supposed to be televised elsewhere.

Some tough games coming up, wigan away because they have something to play for. Southampton are on form so that won't be a pushover, same with the game against sunderland who are now full of confidence, and a big one against chelsea away. Throw stoke away in there too, Dawson will enjoy the game though!!

Really with everything that is at stake we should beat Wigan, Southampton, Stoke, and Sunderland. Sunderland should be home and hosed by the last day of the season, and if we need to win to qualify for 4th I would be pretty surprised if we didn't win.

Anyway if we come 4th and not 3rd, we'll be playing better teams than any of those above in order to qualify for the group stages so if we think we are good enough for the CL we should be winning those 4 games and that's what I expect of us. Doesn't matter if they're fighting to avoid relegation, they are down there for a reason.

We should, but you know what we're like, that's why I never get my hopes up anymore. I gave up with hope when amokachi tore us a new arsehole. Fingers crossed!

That's true, we are known for it. I'll be royally pissed off if we fuck up this time though, considering that we only had to win at Aston Villa last season and we totally fucked it up. I think that game was one of the most disheartening I've ever seen, 2nd last game of the season, a win would have put us above Arsenal heading into the last day, and of course we go and lose against probably the most shit Aston Villa team and manager I've ever seen. That was pretty much our CL qualification game and it was after that that I became really vocal about sacking Harry, I just thought that game and performance was inexcusable especially after a 2nd year running meltdown.

Anyway yep fingers crossed we pull it together for the final stretch this season, I think we definitely can.

Don't forget what Wigan did last season to stay up though! They will be a very tough opponent. I don't think they will manage to do a repeat of last year, but you never know in football!

Make no mistake, Wigan will be a very tough nut to crack today for Spurs.

One thing which could go slightly in our favour is if they are focused more on the FA Cup Final than the Premier League - for example, none of their players will want to risk an injury this close to the Final, so perhaps they won't be as full-bloodied in their challenges as would be the case otherwise.

Anything less that three points today for Spurs (which would equal the club's record Premier League points haul after 34 matches) would be very disappointing.

I'm under the impression that they will prioritise the PL. It's just an opinion though, nevertheless they are always a tough opponent, and we learned that in our last game..

The arse-hat rags will let the Tarquins win tomorrow for giving them a guard of honour.

I hope not. It was a dreadful display today, we were fortuante to get two scrappy goals. Could have pinched it at the end if Dempsey had rolled the ball, or that last second scramble in the box.

We'll see at the end of the season if it's a good point or not.

RVP to score a hat-trick please, and hopefully Dembele's hammy is ok

You've thrown it away
How could you let the Tarquins have it again ffs

I hope the Arse win tomorrow. But I hope you go past them after that and beat them out of their cosy CL spot. That would be hilarious.

I seem to think the Spuds have quite a tricky run-in compared to the Nasri-Bashing Tarqs. Might be wrong.

Oh goodness Spurs, we're bottling it yet again. So familiar, now we have to beat Chelsea to have any chance.

Just awful performance, what AVB is doing starting Parker and letting him run around like a headless chicken for 73 minutes I don't know. I hope I never see him in a Spurs shirt again, total fucking shit.

Your team need to man up and chase the Raggy guard of honour merchants down for once. Wake up and seize the day, you buggers.

Two points dropped today, rather than a point won.

Typical Spurs - beat Manchester City one week then fail to beat Wigan the next.

Believe me, I wish I could instill some winning spirit in this team. We have the quality but not the mentality imo.

Mental toughness is the difference between good and great players.

Totally forgot to congratulate our Spurs Bluemooners on last weeks win over us, so aplogies for that; but what happened today against Wigan? - I think today is likely to be the result that condenm's you to Fifth spot.

Should have had Lennon on from the outset.

Parker does nothing positive for Spurs going forward and slows down their play.

Will definitely be gone in the summer so don't worry GHoddle.

Have to beat Chelsea now otherwise its curtains for you.

Given how you went under Harry last year and the emergence of Bale into a real force in the elite of the premiership AVB might only have one more crack at Chumps League next season before he is asked to move on.

I know some impatient mooners would be calling for his head albeit prematurely if he produced those set of results just like they want to see the back of RM for finishing what looks like finishing second this season.

-- Sun Apr 28, 2013 4:21 am --

I thought Spurs were lucky we went AWOL in the last twenty odd minutes.

Our poor defending kept them in the hunt for a Chumps League Spot and for that they should thank us.

Spurs were lucky to get a point. But it might not be a bad point at the end. Wigan played really well. Hard to believe they are in the relegation zone.
