They make a profit and the TV money just went up 70%. They can afford it, with the Bale money.

I think we'll be far more of a team without him. Yes we're probably losing Bale, but if you told me at the beginning of the summer that we'd lose Bale, but sign Willian, Lamela, Soldado, Paulinho, Capoue, Coentrao, and Chadli I'd bite your hand off. We don't need one of the best players in the world surrounded by players who aren't good enough, we need quality all over the pitch which is what we'll have now assuming that these deals pan out.

If Tottenham really lose Bale, but get William , who is class and Lamela (who I have not seen but heard good things) along with Coentra then they have a very strong team and it's a great bit of business. Still dont have the experience to challenge for the league, but they should come fourth comfortably.

Did you watch our match last night ? Did you see how well Fernandinho played and do you still think he will be "Paulinho's understudy" ?

I know who had the better debut, and I know it's only one game, but it's easy to see why we paid what we did for him and why you got Paulinho for a relatively cheap price.

Did you watch our match last night ? Did you see how well Fernandinho played and do you still think he will be "Paulinho's understudy" ?

City played very well indeed against a woeful Newcastle side reduced to 10 men.

Fernandinho had an excellent debut.
