Re: The Tottenham Thread 13/14

AVB on Bale just this morning...

“This is a player of great importance for Spurs and a player we are not willing to negotiate for."

...yes, I'm confident Bale will be a Spurs player for the 2013-14 season.

Don't give a toss about spuds. I just wish AVB would clear his fucking throat and speak properly. Does my nut in.

In addition, Spurs received an extra £3,000,000 when Giovani Dos Santos was sold-on from Mallorca to Villarreal on 9th July.
But they're figures that you choose to take mate, unless you've actually picked them up from Levy last time you spoke.

Either way, 60 godzillion spent already.

Re: The Tottenham Thread 13/14

Spurs transfer dealing seems pretty solid to me. They've brought in some good players at good prices. Similar to City in that respect. Reckon they could get in the top 4 this year.

And why won't you define serious?

Within 3 points of the winner? 6? 10?

how come on the BBC website it says £5m for Huddleston but you've inflated it by an extra quarter of a mill?

Because I prefer to have accurate information.

In fact, this is what the BBC said...

Huddlestone, 26, has joined in a three-year deal for a fee in the region of £5m.

Funnily enough, the Daily Mail got the price spot-on...

Hull seal double swoop as £5.25m Huddlestone and Livermore head north

Who cares ?

We've got more money.

We will spend more money.

We will win more trophies.

Nothing to be ashamed about. I find it amusing the amount of people that are embarrassed by our new found wealth and then try to make themselves feel better by trying to "prove" how much everyone else has spent.

Fuck em I say.

Jealous bastards.

Re: The Tottenham Thread 13/14

Some great signings from Spurs.

I still believe Bale will end up staying, if in reality he does they will have a team that can challenge for the title in my opinion.

Re: The Tottenham Thread 13/14

Anyone think it disingenuous that THFC1666 thinks Spuds will mount a serious title challenge but refuses to define what "serious" is?

i find it far more disingenuous that he peddles guesswork and opinion as fact, can any of his charts, graphs and tables be trusted?

Especially as when quoting City's buys he used the more expensive and chooses the opposite for Spuds.

i find it odd that he spends soooo much of his time on a City forum peddling myths about another football club.

Yesterday, it was about Huddlestone being one of the best passers of the football the world has ever seen.

I genuinely lol'd.

However, he's a broken toe away from missing two months of the season and Tottenham missing out on European qualification altogether

If you've one player that's so, so important to the whole club, then you're relying on luck that he'll go through the whole campaign without injury

Same with RVP at the swamp and us with Kompany

Re: The Tottenham Thread 13/14

So what's the prepared excuse if you don't make 4th after spending more than both Arsenal and Chelsea?
