Re: The Tottenham Thread 13/14

THFC6061 only rates those news sources which place the highest value on Spurs' outgoing dealings.

He has been caught lying and fudging numbers before as well.

He claims they get 3 million pounds from Giovanni Dos Santos' move from Mallorca to Villareal.
In reality, all news sources say that he was sold to Mallorca for 6 million euros. Spurs will get 50% of whatever profits mallorca made on that deal.
Even if Spurs sold him for free last season, the maximum they would get is 3 million euros.

Some great signings from Spurs.

I still believe Bale will end up staying, if in reality he does they will have a team that can challenge for the title in my opinion.

However, he's a broken toe away from missing two months of the season and Tottenham missing out on European qualification altogether

If you've one player that's so, so important to the whole club, then you're relying on luck that he'll go through the whole campaign without injury

Same with RVP at the swamp and us with Kompany

But if he does get injured, when he comes back it will be like signing a new player!

It doesn't count as a new signing unless I see a chart that proves it

how come on the BBC website it says £5m for Huddleston but you've inflated it by an extra quarter of a mill?

Because I prefer to have accurate information.

What a load of fucking horseshit. You fiddled the figures when you posted about our transfers and I've no doubt that you do the same for yours. You even peddled the lie that we are still paying Adebayor, in fact you've mentioned that a few times but always go quite when challenged about it.

So after you got caught out bullshitting the last time, I find I can't take your stats seriously. They are obviously skewed to make Spurs look better, and their accuracy is dubious at best.

Re: The Tottenham Thread 13/14

Squabbling over transfer fees is the most petty of all football arguments.

THFC CAN YOU DEFINE SERIOUS PLEASE??????????????

Instead of acting like a spoilt child having a temper tantrum, why don't you simply go back in the thread and see that I've already answered this?

It's in your post history if you have already answered it. Would you be so kind as to point out where you defined "serious title challenge" in terms of points, position or other definitive marker.

You could even construct some form of chart, defining not only where you said it but also possibly your rationale in coming to said conclusions.

It is, what's it matter over half a million or so. Almost as bad as United fans going on about Tevez costing 40 odd million. Who gives a shit really?

In the summer I mostly detatch myself from everything football but will be happy as larry come Friday night looking forward to the weekends football. Watching the championship and league one stuff isn't quite the same

From Aug 1st...

Code:
I think Spurs will improve significantly on the 72 points we amassed last season.

We held our own against the top teams and took the maximum 18 points off the 3 newly promoted clubs.

We let ourselves down with some dropped points against the low- and mid-table teams.

If we can improve in that area, I see no reason why Spurs can't get 80 or more points in 2013-14.

That's lovely but I'd prefer something updated. Thanks. Do you think you will win the league? finish 4th? finish 5th again? Fair play on improving your team but imho your still behind us lot, Ushited and Chelsov.

Disappointed you and I didn't remember that verbatim from 14 days ago.

To be fair he says 80 points +, which will be 3rd at worst and possibly second.
